Program Information
Aim
To train orthotists/prosthetists who can re-increase the reduced or lost mobility and functional level of patients by using basic sciences, they can design orthotics and prosthetics specifically to the patients by using new materials and technologies and who they can also take an effective role to improve those materials and technologies.Qualification Awarded
First Cycle (Bachelor's Degree)Registration and Admission Requirements
Students must have successfully graduated from high schools (or equivalent). Placements are made according to the rules of the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK) according to the scores obtained from the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) held throughout Turkey. Student registrations are made on the days announced by the Rectorate. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a sufficient score from the nationwide Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS). Admission is made on the basis of points according to the rules determined by the Council of Higher Education. The quota and conditions for international students to be accepted according to the National or International Examinations are announced on the website of our university.Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully finish all courses and internships set by the program taking at least 240 ECTS credits in total, to be granted with the Bachelor's degree. Graduation eligibility is determined by academic average score. For this purpose, the sum of the weighted scores of all courses taken throughout the education is divided by the sum of ECTS values.Recognition of Prior Learning
Students may apply for exemption from the courses they have taken in another higher education or equally accredited institution. Exemption requests are decided by the board of governors of the School, which considers the opinion of the lecturer responsible for that course.Lesson Plan - AKTS Credits

Program Qualification
Theoretical, Factual
Has trustworthy, sufficient and up to date knowledge related with orthotics prosthetics.
Equipped with the knowledge about design, production and intervention of suitable devices by using assessment methods to people who need artificial limb and/or assistive devices.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates can work in public institutions, private sector, research institutes or universities.Upgrading

Full TimeAssessment and Evaluation
Success in a course is determined by the course success grade. The course grade is obtained by evaluating the student's success in mid-term exams and assignments that substitute for mid-term exams, applied studies, group work and similar studies during the semester and the general exam. Students who fail to get at least 50 points from the general exam are considered unsuccessful for all courses. In order to be successful in the course, it is required to have at least 60 points or 2.27 success coefficient at the end of the term.Head of Department
