School of Humanities and Social Sciences conducts research in the fields of social sciences and it offers five undergraduate programmes via three different departments: Psychology, Political Science and Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations.
The curricula of the programmes have been designed to connect students with the society as well as public and private sector for employment opportunities. The courses introduce students with the major issues in their fields and aim to equip them with the necessary skills to produce solutions and outcomes for these issues.
Faculty members hold doctoral degrees from prominent institutions in Turkey and abroad and they conduct research in their areas of expertise. In that way, they integrate research and teaching by sharing the outcome of their research in their courses. Most of the research projects conducted within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
