The Department of Political Science and Public Administration prepare students for public and private sector by equipping them with the skills to understand, question, criticize and take part in policy making processes actively in Turkey.

The curriculum focuses on administrative structure in Turkey, interests, interest groups, political participation, bureaucracy and policy making in the country. In addition to these core issues, the curriculum also covers those perpetual discussions on power, authority, legitimacy, social class and political participation and also gender and ethnicity. The graduates are expected to take charge in ministries, government institutions, local governments as well as non-governmental organizations, consultancy firms, think-tanks and others that deal with public affairs and public policy.
