ATHLETE DISCOUNT
National Athlete Discount:
They have been national at least once in the last five years and have been certified by the relevant federations as national, have gained the right to join the university teams they are a member of and participated in relevant events (meetings, training matches, away matches, etc.) or have represented the university in domestic and international competitions in individual branches. Students who are included in the program are also given a 50% tuition discount from the accrued tuition fee, valid for the next academic year, unless they receive disciplinary punishment.
If the student has a full scholarship, 1,500 TL educational support is given for 7 months in the next academic year.
Senior students are given 1,500 TL educational support for 7 months, starting from the current academic year.
The petitions submitted by students who have a national degree and want to participate in competitions in individual branches are examined. License and tournament participation records of eligible applications are created by the university. Transportation, accommodation and other expenses are the responsibility of the student.
Team Athlete Discount:
Students who are not national athletes but are selected to the university team squad in team sports will be exempt from the tuition fee accrued for the next academic year, as long as they are on the university team, participate in activities related to the university team (meetings, training matches, away games, etc.) and do not receive disciplinary punishment. A 25% education discount is given.
If the student has a full scholarship, 1,000 TL educational support is given for 7 months in the next academic year.
Senior students are given 1,000 TL educational support for 7 months, starting from the current academic year.
Athletes who are on more than one team can benefit from the team athlete discount once.
Individual Athlete Achievement Award:
Applications of students who are not national athletes but want to participate in competitions in individual branches are received through a petition. The undergraduate and tournament participation records of the students whose applications are reviewed and who are found to be suitable are created by the university. Transportation, accommodation and other expenses are the responsibility of the student. The student who ranks in the top three in the competition he/she participated in and receives a degree receives a 10% tuition discount in the next academic year.
If the student has a full scholarship, 700 TL educational support is given for 7 months in the next academic year.
· Senior students are given 700 TL educational support for 7 months, starting from the current academic year.
Disabled athletes are evaluated under the same conditions and benefit from the same discounts.
· Team and Individual Athlete Lists are notified to the Rectorate by the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, and team lists approved by the Rectorate are valid.
NATIONAL ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP
In accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, it is a 100% tuition fee discount provided to national athletes who are certified to be successful in the following sports fields in the last 4 years, if they are placed according to the results of the 2023 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) , limited to the duration of their education .
a) 1st Group; Athletes who won medals in the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games, Youth Olympics, World and European Championship Finals in the senior category of Olympic and Paralympic sports branches, and World and European Cup Finals in the senior category of sports branches where World and European Championships are not held ,
b) 2nd Group; World and European Championship Finals in Cadets, Juniors and Cadets categories in Olympic and Paralympic sports, World and European Cup Finals in Cadets, Juniors and Cadets categories in sports where World and European Championships are not held, European Games, University Games, Mediterranean Games, Islamic Games, European Olympics Youth Summer and Winter Festivals, athletes who won medals in the World Championships organized by FISU (International University Sports Federation) and athletes who participated in the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games and the Youth Olympics ,
c) 3rd Group; Athletes from at least 16 countries in individual sports branches, athletes from international competitions and tournaments in which at least 9 country teams participate in team sports, which are held in Olympic and Paralympic sports branches and included in the competition calendar of international federations, and athletes who won medals in international competitions and tournaments in Olympic and Paralympic sports branches, Seniors, Cadets, Juniors and Athletes participating in the European and World Championship finals held in the star categories and the World and European Cup finals in the senior, hop eful, junior and star categories of sports branches where World and European Championships are not held.
This discount only covers the tuition fee and is valid provided that it is limited to the duration of education, including the compulsory preparatory class.
In accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports on 28.11.2019, a 100% education scholarship will be applied.
