Prof. Yayla spoke on civilization and humanity

A program titled “Civilization and Humanity” was organized in cooperation with Istanbul Medipol University School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Office of the Ombudsman for Anti-Discrimination and Equality. In the program moderated by Ergün Dilaveroğlu, Prof. Atilla Yayla from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences took part as a speaker. In his speech, Yayla, who discussed the relationship between civilization and humanity in depth, stated that differences constitute cultural richness and made statements about the civilization of commonality. Referring to the relationship between spontaneous order and civilization in the formation of social order, Yayla said that humans produce social order in two different ways. Calling these two different orders as ‘organized’ and ‘spontaneous order’, Yayla said: “An organizer like the state is necessary for organized order. Spontaneous order is the essence of civilization. We can give the United States as an example for the spontaneous order and Soviet Russia as an example for the organized order.”
