Istanbul Medipol University has reinforced its quality by successfully completing the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC). Medipol succeeded in obtaining accreditation in line with the visits, information, documents, and reports examined by the THEQC Evaluation Team on December 17-20, 2023.
Istanbul Medipol University was entitled to receive accreditation within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) implemented by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), which aims to increase the quality of higher education institutions and contribute to quality assurance. Medipol has succeeded in being accredited in IAP, where quality assurance, education-training, research-development, social contribution, and management system processes in higher education institutions are evaluated within the scope of the “planning, implementation, control, and taking precautions” cycle. With its successful quality assurance studies, our university, which was included in the ‘Institutional Accreditation Program’ by THEQC in 2023, is now among the 53 universities accredited.
CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION PRESENTED TO OUR PRESIDENT CERAN
The accreditation certificate was presented to our President Ömer Ceran by the Council of Higher Education President Prof. Erol Özvar and THEQC President Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak at a ceremony held at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Itri Congress and Culture Center. On behalf of our university, the School of Medicine Faculty Member Prof. Ayşegül Çopur Çiçek and Accreditation and Quality Office Responsible Harun Gülay were also present at the ceremony.
PROF. CERAN: OUR QUALITY HAS BEEN REINFORCED
Stating that the university had a successful process with all its units, Prof. Ceran said that the success shown in IAP is valuable. Noting that this success belongs to all university members, Ceran said: “Our university, with its commitment to superior quality standards and continuous development, has succeeded in becoming institutionally accredited as a result of the evaluations. This success is an indicator of outstanding performance in a wide range of areas from leadership to governance, education to research and social contribution. This achievement reaffirms our university’s commitment to quality education and training and its dedication to continuous progress. We will continue to work to move Istanbul Medipol University further in international standards. I would like to thank everyone who contributed.”
