Açelya Çakmak has been teaching since 2013 and joined IMU in 2020. She graduated from Doğuş University with a degree in English Language and Literature in 2014. She received her Pedagogical formation certificate from Yıldız Technical University. Her research interests are 18th century English novel, feminism and gender studies, and the intersection of literature and film.

She has has completed her master’s programme in the same field at İstanbul Aydın University in 2021. She received an ICELT certificate from ITI, TDC 1&2 from British Council and Drama in ELT from British Side. Her research interests are task-based learning in EFL, communicative and student-centered approaches and teaching strategies in EFL classes.

Kenan Bodur graduated from the English Language Teaching Department of 9 Eylül University in 1992. Since graduation, he has worked as an English teacher at various language courses, an Educational Consultant at Educational Technology firms, and as a Lecturer in the Preparatory Programs of Universities. Since 2014, he has been working at the School of Languages at Istanbul Medipol University. He holds a master's degree in Political Science from Medipol University's Social Sciences Institute and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field.
