Açelya Çakmak

Açelya Çakmak completed her bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature Department at Doğuş University between 2010 and 2014 and graduated with an honors degree. As an exchange student, she studied English Language and Literature at the University of Cologne in Germany in the fall semester of 2012-2013. After she graduated from university, she received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Yıldız Technical University.  She started to teach English as a foreign language in a private language school in 2013 and continued to work in different language schools until 2015. In 2015, she started to work as an English teacher and also the head of English department in a private school. She worked in the same school for 6 years until August 2021. Besides, she prepared her students as a delegate for Model UN (MUN) conferences and participated as an advisor in MUN conferences. She has been working as an English Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University since October 2021. 

Ahmet Ahıskalı

Ahmet Ahıskalı graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Foreign Languages ​​Education in 2019. During his bachelor studies, he taught English to different age groups from young learners to adults at Dialogue Language Schools for five years. He taught as a lecturer in the Preparatory School at Nişantaşı University for a year. Then, he produced English Language learning content at Doping Hafıza. He taught English at various faculties at Medipol University for a year starting from the fall semester of 2022. He has been working as a lecturer in the Language School of Medipol University since the fall semester of 2023. 

Alpaslan Çiftçi

Alpaslan Çiftçi graduated with highest honors from Karadeniz Technical University's Department of Western Languages and Literature. As part of his academic journey, he studied as an Erasmus exchange student at the Faculty of Philology at University of Lodz in Poland in 2017 and 2018. After his graduation, he started his career as an English instructor and later moved into managerial roles. He then pursued his master's degree in English Language Teaching at Istanbul Maltepe University, where he was admitted as the top student and granted with a scholarship. He is currently working on his thesis focusing on the intersection of AI and language education. His experience includes serving as a Director of Studies and Company Manager at a private institution and tutoring for the IELTS and TOEFL exams. He was awarded as one of the top ten instructors in 2022 by Istanbul Medipol University. Currently, Alpaslan Çiftçi is a member of the General Coordination of Foreign Languages at Medipol University, having first joined in 2021. 

Ainur ZHAKSYLYKKYZY

A CELTA - Certified and highly motivated English teacher with 25+ years of experience in teaching middle, high school students and adults. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Kazakh Ablai Khan, International Relations and World Languages University, in 1998.  The same year, she came to Türkiye and started her professional carrer as an English instructor at a private university in Istanbul. She is currently working as a lecturer at Medipol university. 

Arzu Tuna

Arzu Tuna holds a B.A. degree in English Language and Literature from İstanbul Kültür University, including a minor degree in Psychology. She completed her M.A. degree in English Language and Literature from Yeditepe University with a TÜBİTAK scholarship, graduating with a High Honours Degree. Arzu has taught English at various institutions and has been working as an English Instructor at İstanbul Medipol University since 2023. 

Asiye Çelikkol

Asiye Çelikkol completed her undergraduate degree in American Culture and Literature at Istanbul University and received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university. She completed his master’s degree in Comparative Literature at Istanbul Bilgi University. Before starting to work in the language school of Medipol University, she worked as a lecturer and administrator at Istanbul Aydın University. She also taught TOEFL at the same university.  

Aslı Baran

Aslı Baran completed her bachelor’s degree on English Language Teaching at Yeditepe University in 2011. She has worked as an English teacher for various schools since then. Prior to joining Medipol University, she worked as a lecturer at Maltepe University at the School of Foreign Languages for faculty departments for five and a half years. She took master's degree courses from Yıldız Technical University Interactive Media Design Department and completed her master’s degree in visual communication at Yeditepe University.  She has her Ph.D. in Communication Studies and is writing her dissertation about historic houses in the Modernism period.  

Aleyna Şahin

Aleyna Şahin completed her bachelor’s degree on English Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydın University. She also received the certificate of English teaching from Istanbul Aydın University. Following her graduation, she worked at private language schools as an English Teacher. Since 2020, she has been working as an Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University.

Alicem Elverdi
Alicem Elverdi completed his B.A. degree on English Literature and Arts at Istanbul Kültür University in 2009 and received Pedagogical Formation for English Language Teaching Certificate from Yıldız Technical University the same year. Upon graduation, he worked at Dilko College at various departments such as English for Juniors, University Preparation Exam for senior high school students, YDS exam preparation for adults and General English. Right before joining Medipol University as English Instructor, he worked at American Language Center in the USA for six months, teaching English to Hispanic adults.  

Almina ESEN

She has received B.A. from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Western Languages and Literature, graduated as honor student. She received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the Faculty of Education at İstanbul University. Before joining Medipol University, when she was conference assistant, she worked voluntarily as an Assistant of Head of Department, English Language and Literature at Karadeniz Technical University. She also worked at Manchester Language Schools and İTÜ ETA Foundation Doğa Schools as an English Teacher. She is currently doing her master’s degree in English Language and Literature at Beykent University.

Arzu Tuna

Arzu Tuna holds a B.A. degree in English Language and Literature from İstanbul Kültür University, including a minor degree in Psychology. Aysun Gündüz

Aysun Gündüz completed her BA in Karadeniz Technical University at English Language and Literature Department in 2004. She received her English Teaching pedagogical formation from Yıldız Technical University in 2005. She worked at several private colleges such as Doğa College, Marmara College, Okan University, İstek Vakfı as an English teacher both as primary and secondary and also head of the department. She has been teaching at Medipol University Language School since 2021-2022 academic year.

Ayda Tancırcı

Ayda Tandırcı graduated from Istanbul University, Department of English Language and Literature in 2000. During the same period, she received teaching training. She completed his master's degree at Istanbul Aydin University, Department of English Language and Literature. She worked as a lecturer at the English Preparatory School and departments of the same university for four years. She also worked as an English teacher at various levels of various private schools. She worked as a lecturer at Arel University Preparatory School in 2022. For his professional development, he completed Teacher Development Course 1&2 from the British Council, 1-year ICELT from ITI, Drama training from British Side and attended various seminars. She has been working as a lecturer in the preparatory unit of Medipol University since the fall semester of 2023.

Ayşe KILIÇ

received her ELT degree in Uludağ University in 2011. She was awarded with Comenius assistance scholarship to teach in a public school in Spain. During her stay, she also attended a local language course to learn Spanish. After coming back to Turkey, she worked in many different schools and attended seminars and conferences. In 2018, she started to work in Nişantaşı University, and then in 2020, she decided to be a part of İstanbul Medipol University Language School family. The received her master’s degree from Maltepe University in 2023 on English Language Education and finished a training to be a teacher trainer by attending SLTEP 2023 in Sabancı University.

Bahar Azaklı

Bahar Azaklı completed her undergraduate degree in English Language Teaching at Bahçeşehir University in 2021.  The year she graduated, she started the English Language Education graduate program at Bahçeşehir University and is currently in the thesis process.  She worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Aydin University in 2022.  She continues her career as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University Language School in the 2023-2024 academic year.

After graduating from Pamukkale University with a degree in English Language Teaching in 2022, I provided General English and exam preparation courses such as YDS and TOEFL at a well-known language school for one year. In the academic year 2023-2024, I joined Istanbul Medipol University as Prep School Instructor. 

Barış Günay

Barış GÜNAY completed his undergraduate degree in English Language Teaching at Istanbul University in 2000. He taught professional English at the Air Force Academy. Before becoming a member of Istanbul Medipol University, she worked as an English teacher at various language schools and private institutions. He has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University since 2015 and has given general and Professional English courses in various departments. As of the 2020 – 2021 education period, after taking part in the preparatory staff, he continues in the departments mainly in Vocational English. 

Bedirhan Duran

Bedirhan Duran graduated from Girne American University English Language Teaching Department between 2014-2018. Between 2018-2021, immediately after graduation, he started his teaching career at American Life Language Schools. In August 2021, she participated in the CELTA programme and successfully completed the programme. Afterwards, she continued her English teaching career at the university and gained experience at Beykoz University. Since October 2022, she has been continuing her career as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University.

Begüm Sarıdede

Begüm Sarıdede completed her undergraduate education in the field of English Language Teaching at Yıldız Technical University and continued her master’s degree in the Department of Teaching Turkish to Foreigners at Istanbul University. She worked as teaching assistant and get TESOL certificate at Northern Virginia Community College. She worked as a Turkish language assistant at New York University and took doctoral courses with Fulbright scholarship in 2020. She is continuing her doctorate education in the linguistics department of Istanbul University. She has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University since 2017. 

Begüm Tunç

Begüm Tunç graduated from Dumlupınar University, Department of English Language and Literature in 2012. She received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university and completed her undergraduate education at Universidade do Minho as an exchange student. After her undergraduate education, she taught languages to many different age groups at different proficiency levels in various institutions for many years and then continued her teaching career in higher education institutions. In addition to her professional development activities, she is currently pursuing her MA in English Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydın University. She has published research articles titled "Exile and Displacement in Khirbet Khizeh, I Saw Ramallah and Journal of an Ordinary Grief". As of 2021 - 2022 academic year, she has been working at Istanbul Medipol University Language School.

Begüm Yağız

Begüm Yağız graduated from Kadir Has University, department of American Culture and Literature in 2015. She attended exchange program at North Central College in Chicago to study American Studies for a year. She completed and received a certificate of Pedagogical Formation from Yıldız Technical University in 2016. She taught general English and proficiency preparation classes in various language schools. She taught English to 7th and 8th grade children as a volunteer teacher in a secondary school in 2017. She completed her master’s degree at Istanbul Bilgi University in the field of Critical and Cultural Studies in 2019. She has been teaching at Medipol University since 2018. 

Betül Soysal

Betül Soysal completed her undergraduate studies at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, Department of English Translation and Interpreting between 2015-2019, and completed her master's degree in Translation Studies at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University between 2019-2022. In 2022, she started working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University.

Beyzagül Eraydın

Beyzagül Eraydın graduated from Marmara University, Department of English Language Teaching as a high honor student. She is currently doing her Master’s Degree in the English Language Teaching Department of İstanbul Medeniyet University. In 2022, she participated in the ‘IELTS Teacher Training Program’ given by the British Council Turkey, became a British Council certified IELTS trainer, and gave private lessons in the field of IELTS preparation. She has certificates in language education issued by the British Council. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an educational consultant for a company that provides student placement and consultancy services to UK Colleges and Universities. Since September 2023, she has been working as an English Language Instructor at İstanbul Medipol University. 

Burak Bezgal

Burak Bezgal graduated from Maltepe University, Department of English Language Teaching. After doing an internship at AIESEC Romania and Corvinus University in Budapest, he started his career in various private schools and started working at Medipol University as a lecturer in September 2023.

Burak Yiğit

Burak Yiğit completed his undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydın University and subsequently obtained a Pedagogical Formation from the same university. Following his academic journey, he spent one year as an English teacher at Gökcan College and four years at İTÜ ETA Foundation Doga Schools. As of September 2023, he continues his career as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University. Apart from his professional pursuits, he has a keen interest in software development, and his hobbies include playing the guitar, singing, and dancing. 

Burcu Altun Günay

Burcu Altun Günay graduated from American Culture and Literature department at İstanbul University in 2002. While she was a university student, she completed her internship in Vefa High School. She received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty at İstanbul University in 2002. After graduation, she started her teaching career in an Aviation school and taught general and aviation English to candidates of pilots and flight attendants. She also worked as an English teacher in various private Language Teaching Centers. She prepared students for IELTS, TOEFL, YDS, and English proficiency exams between 2004 and 2013. She also gave general and professional English lessons in an Anatolian and Tourism Management High School between 2005 and 2016. She completed her master’s degree as the top student in English Language and Literature Department at Istanbul Yeniyüzyıl University in 2021.  She joined Medipol University Language School in 2016 and she has been giving General and Professional English lectures in various departments of Medipol University since then. 

Burcu Demirel

Burcu DEMİREL was born in Ankara in 1995. She received her BA degree in Translation & Interpreting (English-French-Turkish) Department at Cumhuriyet University in 2018. While studying at Cumhuriyet University, she participated in both Erasmus+ Student Exchange Programme (2015-2016) and Erasmus+ Internship Programme (2018) in France. She got The Certificate of Pedagogical Formation in 2018. In 2018, she participated in ‘’Young Translators Competition 2018’’ Organized by The Ministry of European Union Affairs and ranked the third place (Language: French). In 2019, she applied ‘’Translation Studies Master Program’’ at Istanbul Okan University. In 2020, she worked in a language course as an English teacher. In 2021, she worked at a public school as an English Teacher. Meanwhile, she started giving private English lessons. In 2021, She participated in Training Program on Petrophysics and Drilling for Trainees from Chad as a French translator. She has been working as an Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University since September 2021 and at the same time completing her Master’s degree in the department of Translation Studies at Istanbul Okan University.

Burçin Sever graduated from Istanbul University, Hasan Ali Yucel Faculty of Education, department of English Language Teaching with honors. She also studied as an Erasmus exchange student at University of Pardubice in Czech Republic in 2018. After teaching in the speaking class prepared for the students whose departmental language is English at Istanbul University Language Club, she completed her internship at Vefa High School. Büşra BARBOL completed her undergraduate education at Erciyes University - Department of English Language and Literature and she received her Pedagogical Proficiency Certificate from the Faculty of Education of the university. She worked as an Article Development Trainer at Erciyes University between 2012-2014. In 2015, she started working as an English Teacher at Doğa College, where she worked for 8 years and during this period, she prepared her students as delegates for Model United Nations (MUN) conferences and took part in MUN conferences as a consultant. She is studying at Anadolu University - International Relations (English) Department within the scope of 'Second University Program'. In 2023, she started working as a lecturer at Medipol University. 

Büşra Sancak

Büşra Sancak graduated from Gazi University, the department of English Language and Literature in 2018. In the same year, she received her Pedagogical Formation certificate offered by Gazi Faculty of Education. She was an exchange student in Hungary Eszterházy Károly Egyetem in 2016 and took linguistics and literature courses from the department of English Studies. After graduation, Sancak started her teaching career as an instructor at Istanbul Okan University. She received the certificate of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language from Istanbul University in 2022 and tought Turkish to foreign students. She joined Istanbul Medipol University Language School in September 2022. She has been pursuing her master's program in the department of English Language and Literature at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University with her thesis studies in the field of Contemporary English Theater and Feminist Theatre. 

Cansu Çiprut

Cansu Çiprut graduated from Istanbul University English Language and Literature Department. She completed English Teaching Pedagogical Formation and Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language Programs at the same university. She received her MA degree from Istanbul University English Langauge and Literature Department with her thesis on metaphysical English poetry which is entitled “The Transcendental Experience in John Donne’s Poetry”. She has been interested in interdisciplinary studies since her undergraduate years. She attended Istanbul University English Literature Festivals and gave two presentations which are “From White Rabbit to Dracula: Literature and Music” and “A Truffaut Film: Fahrenheit 451 and Bibliocaust”. She also attended 2nd National Horror narratives Conference organized by IU English Language and Literature department with her presentation “The Timeless Child of a Modern Time Fairy Tale: Edward Scissorhands”. She has been teaching English since 2009. In addition to that, she has taught “Cultural Anthropology” in Turkish and English departments at Istanbul Medipol University, School of Education. 

Cihad Furkan Eliaçık

Cihad Furkan Eliacik completed his undergraduate degrees at 1) Gazi University - English Language Teaching, 2) Anadolu University - International Relations and 3) Altinbas University - Faculty of Law (30% English). He completed his master's degree at Özyeğin University - Institute of Social Sciences - Public Law. His PhD studies are continuing in the field of Public Law at the Institute of Social Sciences, Turkish-German University. He has a published book titled "Cyber Security of Nuclear Power Plants in the Context of International Law". There are various national/international projects he has participated in/executed. He is the founding director of Farabi Talks, which aims to train entrepreneurial university students who speak English well. He is registered in the list of Interpreter (ENGLISH) Expert Witness in the Ministry of Justice / Istanbul Judicial Court of First Instance / Justice Commission. Cihad Furkan ELİAÇIK, who obtained his Attorney's License from the Istanbul Bar Association, is also a Sworn Translator and teaches Professional English and Legal English in Faculties. He has been to Harvard and MIT Universities and is married and has 1 child. 

Cüneyt Yüce
holds an associate degree in Applied English - Turkish Translation and Interpreting from Istanbul Aydın University and a bachelor's degree in American Culture and Literature from Istanbul University. He received English Language Teaching Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education. In 2019, she studied at Boğaziçi University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature with the title "A Queer Deviation in Turkish Detective Literature: Mehmet Murat Somer's Hop-Çiki-Yaya Series" in the department of Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University in 2019. He first started working as a lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University School of Foreign Languages, where he taught "General English", "Professional English" and "Turkish for Translators". He then moved to Istanbul Okan University English Preparatory Unit, where he also taught "Academic English" courses. She worked in the Measurement and Evaluation Unit and assumed the management of the Compulsory and Elective Foreign Language Courses Unit. In September 2022, she started working at Istanbul Medipol University Language School, while continuing her doctoral thesis studies at Boğaziçi University.

Derya Gök
Derya Gök completed her undergraduate degree at Marmara University, Department of English Language Teaching, in 2021. She later worked as a lecturer at the Foreign Languages Coordination Department of Okan University in Istanbul. As of September 2023, she has been working as a Lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University.

Derya Komar

Derya Komar, after graduating from Marmara University English Business Administration Department in 2011, where she entered with the first place, she directed her career to the field of English and graduated from Istanbul University English Language and Literature Department in 2018. During her undergraduate education, she did an internship as a translator and completed the Pedagogical Formation certificate programme at the same university. After completing her undergraduate education, she worked as an English teacher at Wall Street English and Dilko English. Since October 2020, she has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University Language School. She continues her master's degree in English Language Literature at Istanbul Aydın University.

Dilara Saygılı

Dilara Saygılı received her bachelor’s degree from İstanbul University’s Department of English Translation in 2019 and completed the Pedagogical Formation Certificate program offered by İstanbul University.  After her graduation, she worked in different private high schools as an English teacher. She has been working at Medipol University as an English Instructor since September, 2021. 

Ece Dil

He graduated from Gazi University, Department of English Language and Literature. She also completed her pedagogical formation education from the same university. After graduation, she worked as an English teacher at high school level in various private schools. Before joining Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at Okan University. Ece Dil, who joined Medipol University as of September 2022, is currently studying for her master's degree in Women's Studies at Kocaeli University.

Ece Kalender completed B.A degree in the Department of English Language and Literature at Kocaeli University in 2013. In 2015, she received the Certificate of English Language Teaching Pedagogical Formation at Istanbul University Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education. Between 2014-2023, she worked as an English teacher at high school and secondary schools in various private schools. She has been working as a Lecturer at Medipol University Language School since the May of September 2023. 

Ecem Akgül

Ecem Akgül received her bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching from Marmara University. She graduated third in her department with high honours. She began her professional life at Bilfen continued to work. During this time, the differentiated instruction model was adopted. Within the scope of the Renzulli Learning System, students with a special aptitude for a foreign language. She has taught Individual Development Time (IPT) courses that support their development. She has worked with many teacher development of TOEFL Primary and TOEFL iBT exams valid in the country certificates in English Language Teaching. In 2021, Yeditepe University English Language Teaching Master's Degree with Thesis She was accepted to the undergraduate programme and she is still working on her thesis. She started her career.She continues as a lecturer at Medipol University.

Eda Danışman

Eda Danışman completed her bachelor’s degree at Marmara University English Language Teaching Department in 2019 and graduated as high honour student. Before starting her professional career, she instructed students from various age groups and levels at a language school. She started her career at Bilfen Schools as an English teacher and worked in the same institution for four years. She has started working at Medipol University Language School as an English instructor by 2023. 

Edanur Harputoğlu

Edanur Harputoglu completed her B.A. degree at Yildiz Technical University, English Language Teaching programme as a high honor student in 2022. Within the scope of a project run by Yildiz Technical University, she taught English to IGA (Istanbul Grand Airport) staff, also she worked as an English teacher and simultaneous translator in institutions of the Ministry of Education. Apart from TESOL and Analysis of Children’s Drawings; she has certificates in the field of education, psychology and child development. She has joined Medipol University Language School as an instructor in 2023.  

Elif KARPUZ

She successfully completed her undergraduate degree in American Culture and Literature at Istanbul University in 2018. After graduation, she successfully completed Pedagogical Formation training at Marmara University and received a certificate. She has worked as an English teacher in various institutions such as public schools, private language courses and Istanbul Institute ISMEK. In 2021, she started her Master's programme with thesis in American Culture and Literature at Istanbul University, where she is conducting research to examine the relationship between marriage and space in Edith Wharton's novels in 19th century New York City. Elif KARPUZ has been working as a lecturer at Medipol University since 2022.

Emin Gürkan

Emin Gürkan was born in Samsun. He received his BA degree in English Language Teaching Department (ELT) at Sakarya  University in 2016. While studying at Sakarya University, she participated in Erasmus+ Student Exchange Programme (2015-2016). He was rewarded by the dean of Education Faculty since he became top student in Foreign Languages Department in terms of GPA.   In 2017, he started his Master Degree at Uludağ University. His department was English Language Education. During his education, he both wrote and presented an article about Information Communication Technologies in an international language conference. In 2020, he graduated from Uludağ University after he finished his thesis about Intercultural Communication Sensitivity. In 2021, he applied ‘’English Language Education PhD Program at Yeditepe University.  After having a challenging interview, he was accepted the program. As a work experience, he taught hundreds of students from different private universities. Also, he worked at some international companies as a private tutor. As a hobby, he is interested in playing chess. He had been the chess champion for three years at Sakarya university. He has been working as an Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University since September 2021 and at the same time completing his PhD degree at Yeditepe University. 

Emre Can Şenel

Emre Can Şenel graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at TOBB University and completed his internship training in various units, including TOBB ETÜ School of Foreign Languages, during his undergraduate studies. He earned his master's degree in the Department of English Language and Literature at Karabük University. Emre Can Şenel, who initiated his career with diverse language courses, currently pursues his professional path at Istanbul Medipol University.

Esra Badan

Esra Badan completed her B.D in English Language and Literature in Istanbul University in 1999. She was an English teacher in state schools for 25 years. She has certificates from ORAV and Harezmi Education Model. She had several projects in European Education platforms namely e Twinning and Erasmus. She took parts in MEB communities. In 2023-2024 Academic Year, she has started to teach in prep classes at Medipol University.  

Esra Seferinoğlu

Esra Seferinoğlu successfully completed her undergraduate education with high honors as the second-ranking student in the English Language Teaching department at Marmara University. After her undergraduate studies, she worked as an English teacher at Bilfen Educational Institutions for four years, during which she provided "Individual Development Time" (IPT) lessons to academically gifted students in foreign languages as part of the internationally recognized Renzulli Learning System. Additionally, she attended TOEFL teacher development courses and workshops, earning certifications in this field. In 2020, she successfully completed the Education Coaching Certification program accredited by Başkent University, obtaining a professional coaching qualification. In 2021, she was accepted into the master's program (with thesis) in English Language Education at Yeditepe University and completed her master's degree with high honors in 2023. In her thesis in the field of language testing and assessment , she examined English teachers' writing assessment literacy and students' writing proficiency. She continues her career as a lecturer at Medipol University.

Ezgi İlkem Yılmaz has graduated from İstanbul Medipol University with honors. She has taught adult learners and elementary students at a private language school for a semester. She has started her career in Medipol Prep-school in September 2023. 

Fadime Kocapınar Batmaz

Fadime Kocapinar Batmaz completed her undergraduate degree at Bogazici University in Foreign Language Education Department in 2017. After graduation, she started Master of Business Administration at Bahcesehir University in 2019. She worked on the effects of mindfulness meditation on people’s consumption habits as her thesis research. Currently, she is working as an English instructor and is a member of the Social Sciences Unit at Medipol Language School.

Feyza Nur Okut

Feyza Nur OKUT completed her undergraduate education at the Department of Translation and Interpretation of Okan University after graduating from Medipol University, Department of Applied English and Translation. In addition, she graduated from Anadolu University, Department of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. During her undergraduate education, she participated in translation competitions including the Young Translators Contest organized by the Ministry of European Union Affairs. She translated Maksim Gorki's In the World book which published by Zeplin Kitap in 2020. After her graduation, she worked as a translator for Düşünbil Journal and worked in the field of game localization. She completed her TESOL training in 2023. Before joining Medipol University, she worked as an Instructor at Okan University Foreign Languages Coordinator. She is currently doing her master degree in Translation Studies at 29 Mayıs University. 

Fulya Sümer

Fulya Sümer graduated from Marmara University English Language Teaching Department in 2017. After being interested in material and curriculum development projects during her education, she worked as an English teacher in institutions such as İstek, Bilfen, Fen Bilimleri, Düşünür for 4 years and worked in applications such as preparing course materials for different age groups. Afterwards, she worked as a lecturer at Altınbaş University Preparatory Unit. Since September 2022, she has been teaching General and Vocational English courses within the departments of Medipol University.

Gaye Oruç

Gaye Oruç completed her undergraduate degree in American Culture and Literature at Istanbul University and received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university. She is doing her master’s degree in Pschology at Istanbul Aydın University. Before starting to work in the language school of Medipol University, she worked as a lecturer and administrator at Nişantaşı University.

Gizem Yıldırım completed her B.A. degree on English Language Teaching at Marmara University in 2022. Upon graduation, she started teaching English at Private Bahçeşehir Primary School. Meanwhile, she started lecturing online English lessons for various levels. She has enrolled in the M.A. program of Interlingual and Intercultural Translation Studies at Yıldız Teknik University. She joined Medipol University as an English instructor in 2023. 

Gizem Yılmaz

Gizem Yılmaz graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of English Language Teaching. As an exchange student, she also studied Linguistics at University of Potsdam in Germany. She started her teaching career in a language school. Following her graduation, Gizem worked as an assistant English language teacher in a state school in Barcelona where she attended some international ELT conferences and seminars. Also, she started a master’s degree programme in Educational Management at Istanbul University. Before joining Medipol University, Gizem Yılmaz worked at Uskudar University as an English language instructor.

Gökçe Özgen

Gökçe Özgen graduated from İstanbul University English Language Teaching Department in 2016. During her undergraduate education, she participated in lots of EU Projects. She also studied at the University of Granada as an Erasmus+ exchange student in the spring term of 2015. She completed her master’s degree at Istanbul University, Department of Theatre Critics and Dramaturgy with the dissertation titled “Rewriting Strategies Of Ancient Greek Texts In Turkish Theater”. She received “Creative Drama Leadership Certificate” from Haliç University. Correspondingly, she participated some related events as a speaker. Her research interests include uses of creative drama in ELT classroom, literary criticism, rewriting practices in recent theatre and gender studies. Prior to joining Istanbul Medipol University, she worked at Marmara University and Nişantaşı University. Gökçe Özgen has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University since 2017.

Güngör Kırış Uğuzluoğlu

Güngör Kırış Uğuzluoğlu completed her undergraduate degree at Erciyes University English Language and Literature department and got her English Teaching Certificate (Pedagogical Formation Certificate) from the same university. She has ITI Testing and Assessment Certificate. Her professional career began eleven years ago as an English instructor and has continued nonstop. She did some research at Maltepe University Public Relations and Publicity department. Before joining Medipol University, she worked at Erciyes University, Gedik University and Maltepe University. Her previous experiences are in teaching English courses for undergraduate programs in Turkish, General and Academic English for prep classes for undergraduate programs in English, preparing materials and tests. She has been working as an English instructor at Medipol University since September 2016.

Güven Kimençe

Güven Kimençe graduated from Istanbul University, Department of English Language and Literature in 2012. He also received his Pedagogical Formation certificate in his alma mater in 2012. He is currently doing his master’s degree at Istanbul Medipol University, Department of Media and Communication Systems. He went to Portugal as an exchange student within the scope of his master’s education, and he took courses in Editorial Design from Instituto Politécnico de Tomar. He worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Biruni University between 2014 and 2016. He has been working at Istanbul Medipol University since 2016.

Hatice Çelebi Ayan

Hatice Çelebi Ayan completed her undergraduate studies at the Department of English Language Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean University and received her master's degree at the Department of English Language Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean University. Her master thesis on ‘(De)motivation in the Preparatory Language Classroom: EFL Learners’ and Teachers’ Voices’, was published in 2015 as an article in ’Applied Language Learning’ magazine. Between 2008-2010, she worked as a student assistant at the Promotional Office at the Rectorate Building at Eastern Mediterranean University and during this time, she took part in the university presentations and promoted the university to guests from all over the world. Between 2011- 2013, she worked as a full-time research assistant at the School of Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School at Eastern Mediterranean University, where she actively participated in the ‘Fleps Fantastic Activities’ and ‘English Speaking and Writing Club’ team.    Having worked as an English Instructor at the School of Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School at Eastern Mediterranean University between 2014-2015, Hatice Çelebi Ayan had continued her career as an Instructor at Foundation English School at Girne American University for 2 years. In the same years, she took part in the ‘Community Project Team’ at Foundation English School at Girne American University and took part in various social responsibility projects. She worked as an English Instructor at Altınbaş University between 2017-2018 and continued to work in 2019 after she took a break. She has been working at İstanbul Medipol University since 2021.   Hatice Çelebi Ayan, who made a presentation at the ‘International EJER Congress, ‘‘1st Eurasian Educational Research Congress’ held in İstanbul in 2014, holds many certificates of conferences and seminars.  

Hatice Gizem Aydın

Hatice Gizem AYDIN graduated from İstanbul Maltepe University, Department of English Language

İstanbul Medipol University since 2022

Ihab Gazi

Ihab Gazi is an English instructor, translator and an educational content creator. He has been teaching English to adults for over ten years. He came to Turkey eight years ago and he taught foreign students from around the world at English Time Language School in Kocaeli, with a focus on effective cross-cultural communication. He also worked at Nesibe Aydın Okulları in kcoaeli as a high school English teacher, where he taught classes within the framework of Cambridge International curriculum and prepared high school students for IELTS test. Ihab was also responsible for preparing high school students for Turkish International Model United Nations (TIMUN), which is one of the most prestigious and dynamic hubs of youth discourse in the World. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature as well as Cambridge CELTA. Besides, he had his pedagogical qualification back in 2013 and he acquired an insight into the best practices for a classroom setting. Ihab had lived in different countries and learned their languages. He speaks 5 languages which makes it easier for him to understand students better and to know and meet their needs in learning English. Ihab believes that the key to improving teacher professional development is centered on finding focused and individual PD that enhances teachers’ skills. Additionally, setting specific goals for the teacher and their development plays a pivotal role in improving teacher PD. 

Doç. Dr. Irina SHELENKOVA

Irina Shelenkova is a PhD and an Associate Professor. Most of her academic life she has spent working at Tambov State Technical University in Russia, teaching General English and ESP. She has administrative experience in the educational sphere. Irina Shelenkova was a member of Tempus project ‘Innovative Language Curricula in Technical Universities’, one of the authors of the coursebook ‘English for Academic Mobility’, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, and a co-author of ‘English for Academics: Book1’ (Cambridge University Press). Irina Shelenkova is the author of 38 articles and conference proceedings, 1 monograph, and 19 books. She started her work at Medipol University in 2019.

İpek Çolak

İpek Çolak currently holds her bachelor’s of ELT from Istanbul Medipol University having graduated with the third highest ranked degree student. She started her professional life as an English teacher in a private institution. She worked as an assistant exam coordinator in SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). She represented Turkey in the project named ERASMUS + Step by Step towards Digital Learning and worked  as a project manager in Social Hackathon competition held in Italy.  İpek Çolak continues her postgraduate education at Bahçeşehir University, department of English Language Education. She has been working as a language instructor at Istanbul Medipol University as of September 2022.

İzem Ceylin Kangallı

İzem Kangallı completed her undergraduate degree in English Translation and Interpretation at Okan University in 2020. Between 2019-2020, he was entitled to study Linguistics for one semester at Tallinn University, Estonia, with the Erasmus program. He was interested in Russian translations during his university years. In 2022, he worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Okan University. He continues his career as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University Language School in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Kenan Bodur

I graduated with a BA in English Language Teaching from 9 Eylül University in 1992. Since my graduation, I have worked at various Language schools as English Teacher, IT companies as Educational Consultant and Universities as Instructor. I have been working at Medipol University, School of Language as English Instructor since 2014. I have completed my master’s degree courses in Political Science and started writing my thesis to complete the graduate degree program.

Kudret Bal

 Kudret Bal graduated from her undergraduate education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Department of English Language Education. She continues her master's degree at Istanbul Aydın University, Department of English Language Teaching. After working as an English Teacher in various institutions and organizations, she started to work as a Lecturer at Medipol University. 

Kubilay Ş. Özdemir

He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of English Language Education in 1993, where he studied as a Naval cadet. He started his military career as an Ensign and retired with the rank of Navy Captain after serving as the Head of the Department of Common Courses, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages in various training units of the Naval Forces Command and in 2017 as the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages at the National Defense University Naval War College Command. He completed his master's degree at Yeditepe University and graduated with high honors. Throughout his professional life, he received various certificates and trainings, including Formator Trainer Instructor Trainer and AELIC (Advanced English Language Instructor Course) from the US Department of Defense. After his retirement, he taught English as a lecturer at various universities as well as corporate / personal trainings, business English courses. He continues his career at Medipol University, which he joined in 2023. 

Kübra Öztürk

Kübra Öztürk got her education in Istanbul University and graduated from there with a bachelor’s degree in American Culture and Literature in 2017. At her senior year, she received pedagogical formation from the same university. She has started her teaching career as a high school teacher in a private school, then proceeded to her profession as an English Language teacher in different universities, which are Nişantaşı University/ Vocational Highschool, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University/ Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Department. As of September 2021, she has started working at Istanbul Medipol University/Prep School while she is studying as a master student in Maltepe University, English Language Teaching program.

Levent Balcıoğlu

Levent Balcıoğlu was born in Ankara in 1975. He graduated from Ankara University, English Language and Literature in 1998. He pursued his studies at Başkent University master’s level in business administration and earned his first master’s degree there (MBA). Then, he started teaching English at academic level at various universities. In 2010, he earned his second master’s degree in English Language teaching (ELT) at Maltepe University. He has published articles in ELT journals. He presented countless papers both abroad and in Turkey at international and local ELT seminars and conferences. His main area of concern is teaching academic writing and critical thinking skills through reading. He is also interested in academic writing research. He is currently working at Medipol University Language school as English Language instructor.

Mehmet Çakmak

After completing his teaching internship at Robert College, Mehmet Çakmak graduated summa cum laude from the Foreign Language Education Department of Bogazici University in 2021. After his graduation, he worked as an English Language Teacher in a private high school for a short period of time and joined IMU Language School in September 2021.

Mehmet Kurtul

Mehmet Kurtul graduated from Boğaziçi University, Translation and Interpreting department. During his education, he had the opportunity to work as an interpreter for various tourism agencies. Upon completing his degree, he worked at a publishing house as a copyright & contract supervisor temporarily. Since September 2022, he has been a part of Istanbul Medipol University Language School as an instructor.

Mehmet Ömer Dikbaş graduated from İstanbul Aydın University department of English Translation and Interpretation. He received his pedagogic formation certificate from the same university. Merve Ferhan Elmacı
Merve Ferhan Elmacı received her Bachelor's degrees from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of Comparative Literature in 2013 and from Kocaeli University, Department of English Language and Literature in 2018.  She completed her pedagogical formation training at Kocaeli University. She was interested in theater during her university years.In the 2020-2021 academic year, she took Advanced Creative Drama Instructor Education at Gedik University. She started her professional career in 2014 and taught English at private schools for four years. In 2018, she started to work as an English Instructor at Piri Reis University Preparatory Department. After working here for two years, she left and taught English at private schools for two years again. She is currently working as a lecturer in the preparatory department at Istanbul Medipol University. 

Merve Kamacı Nalkıran

Merve Kamacı Nalkıran, lisans eğitimini Marmara Üniversitesi İngilizce Öğretmenliği Bölümü'nde tamamlamıştır. Yüksek lisans eğitimine Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi'nde İngiliz Dili Eğitimi alanında devam etmektedir. Ayrıca British Council tarafından sertifikalandırılmış bir IELTS eğitmenidir ve Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) sertifikasına sahiptir. Sabancı Üniversitesi Diller Okulu Eğitici Eğitmeni Programı’nı (SLTEP) tamamlamış bir eğitmen eğiticisidir. İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesi'ndeki görevinden önce özel üniversitelerin hazırlık birimlerinde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır.  

Merve Kocaman Okucu

Merve Kocaman was born in Ankara in 1990. She received her BA degree in American Culture and Literature Department at Ankara University in 2012. While studying at Ankara University, she got her teaching certificate from Hacettepe University in 2010. In 2012, she started teaching English professionally. She worked at a language school for a year. In 2013, She applied for Curriculum Development and Teaching Strategies Program at Yıldız Technical University. After completing her Master’s Degree in 2015, she started giving private English lessons for managers at some companies in Istanbul. Meanwhile, she worked at a private school as an English teacher for two years .In 2017, she started working at Piri Reis University Preparatory Department as an English Instructor. She left there after three years and she got her TESOL diploma in 2020. She is currently teaching ESP classes at İstanbul Medipol University and at the same time completing her Master’s degree in the department of English Language teaching at Maltepe University.

Merve Öztürk

Merve Öztürk received her B.A. in English Language and Literature at Çankaya University in 2014. She had her first teaching experience in Colombia for a year of teaching project. Returning to Turkey, she worked at Altınbaş, Doğuş and Üsküdar University, respectively. She is a Celta (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) holder. She has been a member of Medipol University since September 2019. Currently she is studying for a master’s degree in English Language Teaching at Maltepe University.

Metin Say

Metin Say completed his undergraduate education with a full scholarship at Istanbul Aydin University in the English Language and Literature department from 2015 to 2019, graduating with honors. During his time at the university, he also received advanced-level Chinese language education as an exchange student at Shanghai University. In the following years, he participated in the Erasmus+ program and received education in the Philology department at the University of Barcelona. 

He is currently pursuing his master's degree in the English Language and Literature department at Istanbul Aydin University, with a research focus on intelligence agencies, propaganda, and their relation with literature. In his free time, he enjoys amateur astrophotography and playing chess. He began his career in English teaching at private language schools and has taught at various institutions, including colleges and universities. 

As of September 2023, he continues his career as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University. 

Mihriban Hilal Şahan

Mihriban Hilal Şahan, having obtained her bachelor’s degree as an ‘Honor Student’ in Foreign Language Education Department of Boğaziçi University, is currently working on her master’s degree in the same field at Yıldız Technical University. In the spring term of 2016, as an Erasmus-Exchange student, she studied in the Philology Department at University of Szczecin in Poland. After her graduation in 2017, she started working as an English Instructor and she joined Medipol University’s Preparatory School family in February 2020.

Mustafa Kaan Tütüncü

Mustafa Kaan Tütüncü completed his undergraduate education in Translation and Interpreting (English) at Istanbul Aydın University in 2019 and received his pedagogical formation certificate in the same year. During his education, he worked in the international relations department of a company. While working in the company, he worked as a translator at various fairs in Germany and Turkey. After his graduation, he worked as an English Teacher in a private school. After that he served as a translator ensign in the Turkish Navy for 1 year and guided many delegations. After he completed his military duty, he worked as a lecturer in Nişantaşı University. He has been working as an Instructor at Medipol University since February 2022. 

M. Mustafa Kaya

M. Mustafa Kaya graduated from the ELT Department of Marmara University in 1996. Since then he taught English at various schools until 2013, when he became an instructor at university. He joined the academic staff of Istanbul Medipol University in 2015. During his career, he has attended numerous seminars and series of workshops on ELT. He is currently carrying on his MA studies in Sociology.

Mustafa Büyükbucaklı completed his bachelor’s degree in the field of American Culture and Literature at Dokuz Eylül University in 2011 and received his pedagogical formation certificate from the same institution. He did his education internship in Russia through AIESEC. He completed his master’s degree in English Language Teaching at Istanbul Aydın University. Before starting to work at Medipol, he worked at Biruni University. He holds Cambridge University CELTA.

Müge ESER

Müge Eser received her BA degree in English Language and Literature from Atılım University (with full scholarship) and Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university. She completed her master's degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language at Istanbul University. She is currently pursuing her PhD on teaching Turkish as a foreign language in the Department of Turkish Education at

Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. Before starting to work at Medipol University Language School, she worked as a Medical English teacher at Gülhane Military Medical Academy Health Non-Commissioned Officer Vocational School between 2002-2008, as an English teacher at Kuleli Military High School between 2008-2016, and as an English and Turkish as a foreign language teacher at the Army Language School and National Defence University between 2016-2023. She currently teaches General English and Professional English as a lecturer in different departments at Istanbul Medipol University.

Müge Karayaylalı Bayraktar

She received her bachelor's degree from Hacettepe University, Department of American Culture and Literature. In 2010, she started her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Pedagogical Formation Programme at Bilkent University with a full scholarship. While attending the programme, she worked as a trainee teacher at Ted Ankara, International Bilkent Labrotary Schools and Hisar Colleges and in 2011, she completed an internship at Cambridge University Faculty of Education. In 2012, she received her International Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching and Learning and Pedagogical Formation Certificate. In 2021, she completed her master's degree in English Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydın University. Before joining Istanbul Medipol University, she worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University for five years and has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University since 2017.

Neslihan Doğan

Neslihan Doğan, completed her Undergraduate Degree at Dicle University, Department of English Language Teaching. Following her graduation, she worked at Turkish state schools for nine years as English Language Teacher, during which she initiated and managed many social responsibility projects as well as volunteering for additional lessons to students. After receiving the TESOL Certificate from King George International College in 2014, she started to work as a Lecturer in Prep Schools of various universities. After working as a part-time Lecturer at Yıldız Technical University between 2015-2020 and later as a full-time Lecturer at Altınbaş and Nişantaşı Universities, she started to work at Medipol University as of Fall-2020 term. She also holds many certificates from in-service training programs at the universities she has worked before.

Neslihan Sagun

In 2017, I graduated from Yeditepe University English Language Teaching Department with honors. During my undergraduate education, I contributed to the English language learning of Spanish children by teaching at the school named 'El patio pio' in Seville, Spain. In cooperation with Yeditepe University, I voluntarily taught children in need of special education for more than a year. During my undergraduate education, I received various trainings and certificates related to my field from the Frances King School of English in London and after graduation, I taught at the Sprachcaffe Language Plus school in the Pembroke region of Malta for a while. Subsequently, I resided in Casablanca, Morocco and carried out import-export business in the family business 'Saminox Casablanca' company there, and while continuing my French education, I did a master's degree in business administration at Toulouse Business School. Afterwards, I started to reside in Istanbul and taught at Modafen College for a while. In addition to English, I speak fluent French and intermediate Spanish. I am currently in my 3rd year at 3 Medipol University and I am still continuing to receive various trainings and certificates in my field.

Neziha Vatansever Çakır completed her B.A. at the Department of English Language Teaching at Gazi University, Ankara. After graduation, she got the scholarship of UN Comenius Language Assistantship and worked as a trainee teacher in a public school in Spain for a year. Following some translation and tutoring jobs at various companies and schools, she started to teach at Bezmialem Vakıf University in 2013. She has been giving TOEFL, general English, English for academic purposes, English for specific purposes (in the fields of architecture, medicine and medical secretaryship) lessons in Medipol University since 2015.

Nimetullah Yaşar received his Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Education from Boğaziçi University in 2007. He worked at Bilkent University and Beykent University before he joined İstanbul Medipol University in 2013. He has been teaching at İstanbul Medipol University since then.  

Nurcan Kuru

She completed her undergraduate education at Dokuz Eylül University English Language Teaching department- Buca Faculty of Education.  She continued her Master's degree at Akdeniz University in the field of language education for bilingual Turkish children in abroad. During her master's degree, she studied at Masarky University through Erasmus program and also did internships in the schools there. She participated in many seminars and certificate programs in the field of ELT. She is currently working as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University. 

Onur Başdinç

Onur Başdinç graduated from Anadolu University, Department of English Language Teaching in 2008. Before he joined Istanbul Medipol University Prep School staff, he worked as an English Teacher and Head of English Department for various schools at MEB for 9 years after graduation. Onur Başdinç completed his master’s degree in the department of English Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydin University in 2021. Onur Başdinç has been working at Istanbul Medipol University as an English Instructor since September 2017.

Özge Akçakaya completed her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at Istanbul University in 2021 and received her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Kocaeli University. She received her Master TEFL-TESOL certificate from Teflen Training College- Australia. While she was a student at the University, she went to ILSC Language School- Canada for 6 months and in this process she improved her Street English, General English, Academic English and IELTS.  He has many trainings related to English Education given by George Mason University, University of Iowa and American Consulate. In the field of aviation, he has taken courses such as Flight Principles, Flight Aerodynamics, Cabin Training, Aviation English and Aviation Maps and continues to improve himself in the field of aviation.  She is doing her master's degree in Psychology Programme at Istanbul Okan University. She worked in language courses and worked as a lecturer in the university preparation unit.  Since 2023 October, she has been working as a lecturer at Medipol University.

Ozgenc Aktas-Kocak lisans eğitimini Hacettepe Üniversitesi İngilizce Öğretmenliği bölümünde tamamladiktan sonra yüksek lisans eğitimine Michigan State Üniversitesi’nde Eğitim Yönetimi-Öğrenci İsleri Yönetimi alanında devam etmistir. Master derecesini aldiktan sonra aynı üniversitede akademik danışman olarak çalışmıstır. Daha sonra Amerika’nın Tennessee eyaleti ve Memphis sehrinde bulunan St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital’ın Akademik Program Ofisi’nde Veritabanı Koordinatörlüğü, arastirma Grantları Başvuru Destek Koordinatörlüğü gibi değişik görevlerde bulunmustur. Eylül 2019’den bu yana İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesi dil okulunda ögretim görevlisi olarak çalışmaktadır.

Özlem ADHAMİ completed her BA on English Language and Literature at Istanbul Kültür University. In 2013, as well as being an exchange student at Docklands Academy, London for 4 months, she also taught English in some classes. After graduation, she worked as an English Teacher at MEB for a while and translated a Turkish book into English. In addition, she translated many academic studies from Turkish into English. Afterwards, she worked as an Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University / School of Health Sciences as well as being in charge of International Office-Erasmus Coordinatorship. Özlem ADHAMİ has been an instructor at Istanbul Medipol University – Language School as of 2017, September, and taking an active role in European Union projects as of 2019.

Özlem Biçici has started her bachelor’s degree at Başkent University in 2004 and completed it at Selçuk University and graduated in 2008. After graduating she has worked as a lecturer at universities. Between 2010-2014 she has worked as a lecturer at Afyon Kocatepe University. At the same university she has completed her master’s degree in Educational Sciences Department in the field of Education Programs and Teaching. She has worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University and Beykoz University, too. In addition, she has taught General English and Business English lessons at various language schools and colleges. She has computer, diction and language teaching certificates. She has TOEFL certificate and she has taught TOEFL exam preparation lessons. In the 2019-2020 academic year she has started to work as a lecturer at Medipol University.

Öznur Bedi

After graduating from Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of English Language and Literature in 2015, Öznur Bedi started her professional career by receiving her Pedagogical Formation Certificate from Istanbul Kültür University.  She has been actively performing her occupation since 2015.  She worked as a lecturer at Üsküdar University for three years. In 2022, she successfully completed the TESOL certificate, which she started by receiving  financial aid from Arizona State University. In 2023, she completed the training program and was entitled to receive CELTA.  She continues her education as a student at Atatürk University, Department of Sociology.  Öznur Bedi, who started working at Medipol University in 2023, continues to work actively. 

Öznur Çalışkan

Öznur Çalışkan completed her undergraduate studies in Translation and Interpretation (English-French-Turkish) at Cumhuriyet University in 2018. She also holds a Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university. Over the years spanning from 2018 to 2023, Öznur gained experience working in diverse language schools and universities. Following a period as an education coordinator, she transitioned into the role of a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University.

Öykü Su Kaplan

She graduated from Marmara University English Language Teaching Department as an honours student. During her education, she worked as an English Teacher in a language course. After working as a translator on various publishing platforms, she started working as a lecturer at Medipol University in 2022.

Pelin Gündoğdu

Pelin graduated from Trakya University, Department of English Language Teaching in 2017. In the same year, she started working as a lecturer at İstanbul Okan University Preparatory Department. Meanwhile, she completed her master's degree in Translation Studies at the same university. Later, she worked at Üsküdar University for 1 year and continues her career at Istanbul Medipol University Language School since 2021. 

Peruze Duygu Oğuz

Peruze Duygu Oguz studied at Kocaeli University, English Language Department between 2011-2016 years. During her university years she attended the Erasmus program and she studied in Poland one year. After she finished her university education she started to teach at a vocational high school for medicine students. One year later she started to teach at Istanbul Okan University. She started as English Instructor then she worked as Chief of Curriculum Officer and she left from there as The Head of the Department. She is currently doing her Master degree at Translation Studies at Istanbul Okan University and works at Medipol university as English Instructor

Pınar Arıpınar

Pınar Arıpınar completed her Bachelor’s Degrees in French and English Teaching at Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty. She received her CELT-S certificate from International Training Institute. Since September 2019 she has been working as a lecturer at IMU.  

Seda Bölük

Seda BÖLÜK completed her BA in English Language Teaching department at Anadolu University. She also studied in Uludağ University,Department of German Language Teaching. After she graduated from university, she worked as an English language teacher in a different language schools and private schools. She worked as a translator in the field of information technologies. She has been working as an English Instructor in Medipol University Preparatory School since 2021.

Seda Yeşildeniz

,born in 1987, initially started her undergraduate education in German Language Teaching but later decided to continue her studies in English Language and Literature. After graduating from her university, she began her career at Selçuk University. During this period, she became one of the individuals who conducted English presentations at the International Mevlâna Commemoration Ceremonies. After working for two years, she continued her personal development abroad with two different projects while also contributing to society. 

Upon her return to Turkey, she continued her academic career at Nişantaşı University. During this time, she served as the academic advisor for the Social Service Club and organized activities to help socializing children living in Sevgi Evleri. She then decided to change her career and worked at Istanbul Airport for a period. However, she later returned to the university and is currently continuing her professional life at Medipol University. 

She is pursuing her master's degree in the field of Linguistics and Cultural Studies at Pamukkale University. 

Seha Nur Kahya
Seha Nur Kahya received her Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from Yıldız Technical University as an Honor Student in 2015. She has conducted researches on the approaches and methods in language teaching and wrote her BA thesis on “Identifying Learners ’Attitudes towards Communicative Language Teaching Approach”. She has experienced teaching English as a second language on varied themes relating to diversified age groups in a private IB school for six years. She had her teaching qualifications validated by Cambridge Assessment English after obtaining CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). She has been a member of Istanbul Medipol University as an Instructor of English since 2022.  

Selen Pekuzun

Selen Pekuzun completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Department of Foreign Languages Education between 2017 and 2021, and graduated from the Western Languages and Literatures Minor Degree Program on the same date. She has participated in two international conferences on bilingualism and emotion discourse in second languages. She continues her master's degree in Translation Studies at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University. He has been teaching English as a Lecturer at Medipol University since October 2021. 

Selen Şahin Yeni

completed her bachelor's degree at Istanbul University, Department of English Language and Literature in 2015. Then she completed her master's degree at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University on the field of Translation Studies in 2022. She worked as a preparatory school instructor in various universities in Istanbul such as Beykent University, Nişantaşı University, and Üsküdar University. She has worked at İstanbul Medipol University since 2019. 

Semanur Gencan

Semanur GENCAN received her B.A degree from the department of Western Languages and Literatures in Boğaziçi University. She wrote her B.A thesis on the perception of Victorian Women with the title “Writing Against Victorian Polarization of Woman: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights”. Upon her graduation, she furthered her studies in the field of Cultural Studies in Istanbul Bilgi University with the M.A thesis “The Construction of Material and Visual Culture for the Changing Muslim Female Portrait in 2000s: The Case of Islamic Fashion Magazines and a Visuality-Based Social Media Network”. In the same period, she got ELT Certificate from Bahçeşehir University. Since 2013, she has been working as an English Instructor in Higher Education. Since September 2016, she has been working as an English Instructor at Istanbul Medipol University for General and Vocational English.

Semih Pala

Semih PALA graduated from Ege University English language and literature department in 2006. Before his graduation, he attended TESOL certificate program by Ege University in 2005. After his graduation, he started to work in Ege University School of Foreign Languages for 6 years. He set up and provided consultancy for firms in the field of academic, medical and legal English. He completed training programs on translation and NLP. He is the translation editor or translator of 4 books and 124 SCI index medical and legal papers. His field of expertise and interests are medical translation, OET, TIPDIL-YOKDIL( Medical English Proficiency Exam), IELTS exam preparation apart from medical and legal translation trainings and educations for healthcare & legal entities. She graduated from Izmir University of Economics, English Translation and Interpretation Department in 2011 and in my senior year, she had a Pedagogical Formation in the Faculty of Education in Dokuz Eylül University. After she had graduated from the department, she worked as an English Language Teacher for one year in Celal Bayar University, the Faculty of Engineering and then continued to work in the Foreign Schools of Languages for five years. She has also been working as a freelance translator since she graduated from the university. In 2017, she started her Master’s programme entitled “Translation Studies” in Istanbul 29 Mayıs University and completed her Master’s Degree in 2021. Sena Tuğçe Gürkan

Sena Tuğçe Gürkan graduated with honors from Istanbul University's Department of English Language and Literature in 2018. She completed her master's degree in English Literature at Yeditepe University in 2022. Her professional focus encompasses Gender Studies, English Literature, Psychology, and Mythology. She has been a speaker at various academic conferences at Hacettepe, Ardahan, and Yeditepe Universities. She has translated Freud's "On Narcissism" for Olimpos Publications. She has worked as a lecturer at various private universities and has been working as an Assistant Professor at Medipol University since September 2021.

Sevim Sevda Çorumlu

She received her undergraduate education in Economics and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in International Political Economy from the University of Manchester. She attended various courses in the UK, including General English. She worked as a freelance translator and interpreter in both the UK and Turkey, gaining experience in translating legal, political, and academic papers. She holds a CELTA degree (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). She teaches English and Social and Cultural Anthropology (in English) at Medipol University. 

Sina Daneshvar graduated from Urmia University in 2010 in ELT (English Language Teaching) and then continued her studies in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and graduated in 2013. Since the age of 17, she has been teaching English. So far she has taught in many national and international language schools in Iran and Turkey. She has participated in a number of international trainings and courses on language teaching, communicative grammar teaching and online language courses. She has also collaborated with the American E-teacher program and Cambridge. She has also worked as a teacher trainer and supervisor for some language schools. In 2022, she started teaching at Medipol University.

Şenay Çaylan completed her bachelor’s degree in English Teaching at Marmara University. She completed her MA degree in Education Management and Auditing at Yeditepe University in 2012 and she got her doctorate degree in Business Administration at Maltepe University in 2022. She is studying on enhancing Employability and Critical Thinking skills. 

She also attended a program on Human Rights &Ethical Values at Uskudar University between 2015 – 2018 and has a certificate. 

She started as an English teacher at Bahçeşehir College in between 2002-2004. Than she started to work as a school principal and than as an International Relation Coordinator at Doga Schools between 2004 and 2017. Before  being a member of Istanbul Medipol University she worked as an instructor at Gelişim University. 

Taner Akbaş

Taner Akbaş studied French Language and Literature at Ankara University and English Language and Literature at İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University. He completed his MA studies in the frame of “19th century English Travel Literature and Foreign Politics”. Instructor Taner Akbaş, who holds a CELTA degree (Certificate of English Language Teaching by Cambridge University), has been responsible of instructing and creating contents at the university level for the purposes of General English, Business English and Exam English since 2015.

Tuğçe Sarraç graduated from Ankara University English Language and Literature Department. She has Teaching English Language Certificate (Pedagogical Proficiency) from Yıldız Teknik University, Teaching Business English and TESOL Certificates from International TEFL Corporation and Teacher Development Interactive Certificate from Hunter College City University of New York. Before joining in İstanbul Medipol University in 2015, she worked as an instructor in Altınbaş University and as English teacher in English Time Language Course.

Tutku Kançıkmaz

Tutku Kançıkmaz holds an LLB degree from London Southbank University in the department of Law. She also has an LLM degree in International Law from London Metropolitan University. Upon her relocation to Turkey, Ms. Kançıkmaz completed her CELTA in the Izmir University of Economics. She has worked in the International Relations Department of Pamukkale University between 2008-2010. Ms. Kançıkmaz then worked in Plato College of Higher Education as the Head of International Relations between 2010-2012. She began working as an Instructor of English in Istanbul Aydın University’s English Preparatory School in 2012 and began her MA in English Language and Literature in the same institution in 2013. As of September 2017, she has joined Istanbul Medipol University as an English Instructor. She is also a faculty member in the Law Faculty of Istanbul Medipol University.

Umut Salih Özbay
Umut Salih Özbay completed his undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Foreign Language Education Department, in 2018. He completed the Bahçeşehir University English Language Education master's program in 2023. In his thesis study, he investigated exam reliability and the factors affecting reliability. He has been teaching English at Medipol University since 2022.

Ümran Omaç graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Teaching from Marmara University in 2018. The same year, Ümran started to her teaching career as an instructor at Hasan Kalyoncu University English Preparatoy School. Before being a member of Medipol University, she had been  working as an instructor at Yeni Yüzyıl University Preparatory School for a year. Currently, she is studying for her MA Degree at Yeditepe University in the field of English Language Teaching. She has been working for İstanbul Medipol University since December 2020.    

Yasin ABAY

Yasin Abay completed his undergraduate degree in the Department of American Culture and Literature at Haliç University with a full scholarship and received his Pedagogical Formation Certificate from the same university. He completed his master's degree in the field of Educational Administration and Supervision at Yıldız Technical University. Before starting to work at the language school of Medipol University, he worked as an English Teacher, Head of English Department, Deputy Principal and School Principal in various schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education for 15 years. Zeliha Öztürk

Zeliha Öztürk graduated from Ege University, the department of English Language and Literature. She completed her master’s degree at the Graduate School of Educational Sciences at Bahçeşehir University. She studied English Language Teaching and searched for the effects of different planning conditions on task based L2 writing for her master’s thesis. She received certificates in pedagogical teaching, Syllabus and Material Design as well as CELTA and Drama in ELT. Before her position at Medipol University, she worked for different institutions such as Uludağ University, Bahçeşehir University and Bilgi University. As a teacher, among her interests are material design, learning psychology and philosophy.
