Aim

The aim of the Sports Management Program; Our aim is to train sports managers who are experts in the field of sports science and have the highest level of competence, attach importance to ethical values, have theoretical and practical knowledge that they can use in the sector, have advanced leadership qualities, are creative and open to innovations.

Registration and Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this program, one must have completed a high school diploma or equivalent. Students are accepted to the program according to TYT score and principles by the Council of Higher Education. Foreign Students are accepted by the Senate within the framework of success criteria.

Graduation Requirements

Students who have completed all of the courses, practices, and who have taken the 120 ECTS have a right to receive a diploma. Graduation eligibility is determined by academic average score. For this purpose, the sum of the weighted scores of all courses taken throughout the education of Sports Management is divided by the sum of ECTS values.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students can apply to be exempted from the courses they have taken and succeeded from the higher education institutions they have previously registered or from an institution whose equivalence has been accepted. Exemption requests, when necessary, are decided by the board of directors by taking the opinion of the lecturer giving the course.

Employment Opportunities

Our graduates; Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Youth and Sports, District Directorates of Youth and Sports, Sports Federations, professional and amateur sports clubs, sports departments of local governments, athlete training centers, sports services of public and private sector organizations, health, culture and sports of universities. They can be employed in departments, sports units of tourism enterprises, private sports centers opened by their own initiatives and other sports-related work areas.

Upgrading

Students who have not successfully completed their associate degree education in Istanbul Medipol University Sports Management Program can complete their undergraduate education in business, recreation, sports management and international business management departments as a result of the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

Assessment and Evaluation

Success in a course is determined by the course grade. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the student's success in midterms and homework that replaces the midterm exam, applied studies, group work and similar studies, and the general exam together. Students who fail to get at least 50 points from the general exam are considered unsuccessful for all courses. In order to be successful in the course, it is necessary to have at least 60 points or a success coefficient of 2.27 at the end of the semester.
