AimThe aim of this course is primarily to conduct a discussion on how theories of psychology and social and cultural transformation phenomena can be interpreted. While conducting this discussion, it is aimed to interpret the aspects that intersect with the psychology literature by focusing on the roles of developments in media and communication technologies in this transformation. The main objectives that draw the framework of the course can be listed as follows: - Tracing the history of cultural transformation and "human" defined by modernity. - To discuss today's concept of "humanity", which is taken for granted. - To investigate how psychology as a discipline responds at the stops of cultural transformation and what kind of answers and solutions it produces. - To focus on the function and effects of media and technology in these transformation phases. - To examine the current issues of today's individual and society in the context of media, cultural transformation and psychology. - To discuss the communication environment of the future and its corresponding “human” form and culture. - To reflect and discuss the psychology of the future individual, society and “human”.

1. To learn the history of the definitions of culture and civilization and the main discussions of the related terminology.
2. To be able to draw an intellectual framework on how consumption-based social and individual change is evaluated through the literature of sociology and communication sciences.
3. To develop a scientific and critical approach to media and technological transformation phenomena through psychological theories.
4. To be able to review the literature in the fields of Cultural Studies, Sociology, Communication Sciences and Psychology.
5. To be able to conduct a practical discussion/debate by interpreting the concepts learned and the data obtained.
6. To be able to conduct a critical and multidisciplinary discussion about the new cases created by the social transformation in the center of communication technologies.
