Aim | This course aims to determine the principles and principles of planning, implementing, evaluating and auditing the medical social service in order to solve the psycho-social and socio-economic problems affecting the treatment process of the patients and the methods and techniques of the social work profession and discipline in a timely manner. to ensure that the implementation of services is carried out in an effective and accessible manner with an understanding based on human rights, equality and social justice. |
Course Content | This course contains; Introduction, Basic Concepts: Health, illness, patient, modern medicine, hospital, health sociology.,History of Medical Social Work (World and Turkey), health, welfare, and social services policy experiences of different countries.,Organization of health services in Turkey,Health policy and Medical Social Work, Scope of Medical Social Work, Case studies.,Problems experienced by patients in hospital.,Introduction to Medical Social Work, the roles and functions of the social worker in the health facilities.,Case study,Social group work in medical care and treatment institutions,Medical attendance and groups established in treatment institutions,Social Work Practice in Chronic Diseases and Sample practices,Social Work Practice in Chronic Diseases and Sample practices,Patient Rights,Approaches used in the field of health, Rights-based approach, Social justice approach and Case studies,Working with patient and family / Genogram. |
