AimIt is aimed to examine theories and approaches related to social work with groups, to integrate and discuss these theories and approaches in line with the aims of social work, and to teach the stages of social work intervention with groups.
Course ContentThis course contains; Introducing and giving information about the content of the course.,Concept of Group Dynamics,Historical Development Process of Group Social Work,Theories Effective in Group Work,The Importance of Working with Groups in Social Work Practices,Professional Roles and Skills of the Social Worker in the Group Process,Midterm exam general revision,Stages of the Group Process: Creating the Group,Stages of the Group Process: Initial Phase-Gaining Trust, Autonomy and Conflict Resolution,Duties of the Social Worker Regarding Recognition and Evaluation of the Group,Stages of the Group Process: Development Stage - Convergence, Commitment, Integration,Stages of the Group Process: Separation, Independence,Ending the Group Process,Designing a sample group study.
