Course Content | This course contains; Signs and symptoms accompanying eating and swallowing disorders,The role of ergotherapy in the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the treatment of eating and swallowing disorders.,Evaluation of swallowing disorder as part of basic ergotherapy training,Assessment of eating disorders as part of basic ergotherapy education,Swallowing training including self-feeding, cognition, perception, sensory and motor skills and postural control in swallowing impairment,Interventions and methods to promote or improve performance in safety and daily living activities (GIA),Nutrition, eating and swallowing treatment to ensure eating and feeding performance.,Individualized compensatory swallowing strategies, modified diets, tailored meals and advanced feeding skills,caregiver training in individual feeding and swallowing strategy,Cognitive problems,Evaluation of cognitive problems,Sensory integration; oral vulnerability activities for prematurity,Group work, case management,Discussion. |
