The student Explains the history of semiotics, word origins and the works of contemporary semioticians.
3-The student separates a movie according to its semiotic units and recognizes the sub-meanings of the signs.
4-Explains and interprets the elements and levels of Cinema Language, Forms of Expression, Cinematographic meaning, the lexical language of Cinema, the structure of filmic expression, subject, time, place, actor problems in cinema, problems of Semiotics and the development of modern Cinematography.
5-The student Discusses the scholars of the field and their work.
6-Understands the transformation of cinematographic meaning in films.
6-Discusses visual images and their meanings in the context of Saussure, Peirce, Lotman and Metz
