The model titled “A System That Enables Users to Gain Job Interview Experience” developed by Assoc. Prof. Pelin Vardarlıer, who is the Head of Human Resources Management Department at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). This useful model enables job interview experience in a virtual environment through its user interface. The system includes the user interface, server, interview information database, language processing, behavior analysis, virtual interview, reporting and social media integration units. The operation and processes of the system can also be detailed over the web.

“IT WILL OFFER A REAL JOB INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE”
Assoc. Prof. Pelin Vardarlıer said that the registered model will enable users to gain job interview experience. She noted that users will have the opportunity to experience in advance the work to be done in the office environment where they will work, thanks to the system. She added: “Candidates apply to various courses or consultants to prepare for interviews, but it is very difficult for candidates in financial difficulties to afford these fees. And during the courses, candidates almost never get the chance to be interviewed in a job interview atmosphere. My work provides candidates with the opportunity to gain experience in job interviews, and the system scores the user's success in interview simulations presented in stages. Also, thanks to this system, the user will have the chance to experience in advance the work to be done in the office environment in which he or she will work. The candidate will be able to decide for him or herself whether that job is suitable for him or her by matching his or her competencies with the job.”

“IT WILL PROVIDE BENEFIT IN TERMS OF TIME AND COST”
Stating that those who use the application will also have the opportunity to experience the problems that current employees deal with during the day with the support of virtual reality, Vardarlıer continued as follows: “The system will enable the candidate to actually conduct the interview with his or herself in a virtual environment, and a digital twin of the candidate will be created. In this way, the candidate will be able to ask his or herself questions during the self-interview and evaluate his or her own interview, thanks to interactive video files. The candidate will be able to see whether he or she passed the interview based on the answers he or she gave in the virtual interview environment. As a result, the candidate's awareness will be formed before the job interview.”
