AimThe aim of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge, skills and understanding of job and vocational counseling. In line with this basic aim, the basic concepts and principles of vocational counseling, vocational counseling practices, career development theories and practices constitute the sub-objectives of the course.
Course ContentThis course contains; Trait and Type Theories,Occupations: Information and Theory,Work Adjustment Theory,Holland’s Theory of Types,Mayer-Briggs Type Theory,Career development in childhood,Adolescent career development,Adult career development,Career crisis and transitions,Constructivist and Narrative Approaches,Relational approaches,Krumboltz’s Social Learning Theory,Socaial Cognitive Career Theroy.
