AimThe aim of this course is to understand the history of mental disorder classification system (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5) and to evaluate its strengths and limitations; to understand and identify major characteristics of common mental disorders; to gain knowledge of common mental disorder’s psychological treatment approaches, to enhance awareness in community- and/or nation-wide resources/organizations for individuals with mental disorder and their families.
