Course Content | This course contains; The meaning and importance of Statistics – The process of Statistics – Statistics in Management,Data collection and organization,Summarizing data: Series and graphs,Descriptive Statistical Analysis: Measures of Central Tendency: Means – Analytical Means,Means (cont’d.): Non-analytical Means /Variation – Measures of Variation,Measures of variation (cont’d.): / Skewness –Measures of skewness,Introduction to inferential statistics: Sampling and sampling techniques / The concept of sampling distribution,Probability distributions: The normal distribution and the standard normal distribution,The Place and Applications of Normal Distribution in Business Management,Simple random sampling: Estimation of the population parameters – Point and interval estimations – Estimation of the population mean,Estimation of the population mean (cont’d.) : Inferences basing on small samples – The Student (t) distribution,Estimation of the population proportion,Estimation of the population proportion (cont’d.) / Determining the sample size,Final review – Statistical software practical. |
