The aim of this course is to introduce basic concepts in psychology and provide a rudimentary knowledge related to the subfields of psychology.

This course contains; Introduction to Psychology,Neuroscience and Behavior,Sensation and Perception,Consciousness,Learning,Thinking: Memory, Recall and Forgetting,Thinking: Reasoning and Problem Solving,Motivation and Emotion,Development,Personality and Individual Differences,Psychological Disorders,Treatment of Psychological Disorders,Treatment of psychological disorders,Social Psychology.

1. Will be able to identify the concepts and theories in psychology.
1.1 Explains the basic psychological concepts in the syllabus.
1.2 Explains the definition, development, aims and related concepts of psychology.
2. Will be able to learn the research methods that are used in psychology.
2.1 Identifies the basic theories of psychology and explains the research methods with their results
2.2 Identifies the various applied fields of psychology and explains the research methods with their results
3. Will be able to have knowledge on how to apply psychological theory and research to different fields.
3.1 Explains the theories and research methods of experimental, cognitive and developmental psychology
3.2 Explains the theories and research methods of social, clinical and industrial and organizational psychology
4. Will be able to explain the different level of human behavior.
4.1 Explains the human behavior with biological, physiological and genetic dimensions
4.2 Explains the human behavior with individual, social and cultural perspectives
5. Will be able to learn the scientific language used in psychology.
5.1 Develops the scientific and critical thinking skills
5.2 Earns positive attitudes and competences regarding critical thinking concept that increases cognitive awareness and directs knowledge generation process
