Aim | The purpose of this course is to create an understanding about the nature, the function, and the meaning of Politics and is to provide the place of politics as an art and science in our lives. |
Course Content | This course contains; Constitutional movement, constitution, individual and state relationship.,Development of parliament, parliament's superiority, function and legislative activity in contemporary politics.,Execution function, public bureaucracy and political bureaucracy relations. ,A closer look to the main debate in democracy theory.,Political culture, political socialization and the formation of political attitudes.,Political change: Revolution, coup, evolution, reforms and reform discussions.,Relationship between politics and economics, and the political economy of democracy. ,Classical political texts: Past and present I,Classical political texts: Past and present II,Cross-border politics: International civil society, community and non-state organizations. ,Countries and political organizations: Geography, culture and politics.,Modernization theories and critics.,Politics and morality: Values in politics theory and practice.,New trends in contemporary politics; discussions and orientations.. |
