| Aim | The aim of the course is to strengthen the ties between the university and society by using the knowledge, skills and knowledge that students have acquired throughout their education within the framework of the concept of volunteering; humanitarian, social, economic etc. To ensure that they gain awareness about various issues and problems in society, especially migration and disasters, disabled people and disadvantaged groups; To ensure the development of human, social, cultural and moral values and skills through various volunteer activities that they will participate in and design themselves. In line with this purpose, to increase visibility and awareness on issues of high social sensitivity such as life with disabilities, migration and disasters in society; The aim is to enable students to take part in volunteer work throughout the semester in a volunteer area they will create themselves, within the framework of a plan prepared in advance, and to share their results. |
| Course Content | This course contains; 1-Giving information about the content, importance, evaluation criteria and course topics of the course and explaining the concepts of volunteering and social responsibility.,1-Basic volunteering areas (Disaster and Emergency, Environment, Education, Culture and Tourism, Sports, Health and Social Services) 2-Risk groups and volunteering in society,1-Moral (ethics), traditional values and principles in volunteer work 2-Participation in volunteer work in public institutions, local governments and non-governmental organizations 3-Examining examples of successful volunteering activities implemented in the world and in Turkey,1- Providing information about general project management in order to develop projects related to volunteer work. 2-Creating a project team and receiving topic suggestions,1- Starting from the 5th week, the student can choose only one of the basic volunteering fields (disaster and emergency, environment, education, culture and tourism, sports, health and social services) and carry out all field applications (project) in that field. 2-Alternatively: You can practice (activity) in a different volunteer area on the list every week. 3-The student informs the instructor of his personal preference/decision as to whether he will practice in one field or in different fields, at the end of the 4th week of the course.
