Aim | This course is intended for the student to develop the following qualifications; 1. To be able to understand the roles and functions of the social worker during the planned change process from the client acceptance stage to the service termination and monitoring stage by the case studies, 2. To be able to discuss the significance of the knowledge and value system of social work in practice, 3. To develop the professional practice of preparing an intervention plan for the problem determination together with the client by determining the requirements of the applicant and gathering the necessary information about the problem, 4. To be able to discuss the practical use of professional approaches to social work on case studies, 5. To be able to recognize the social resources which are important in social work practices, 6. To be aware of the importance of keeping records, to write reports and to develop skills in the content of professional reports. |

In this course students gain knowledge about the theories and processes they will use in practice. The aim of the course is; to make student turn this information into action. This course covers the examination of social work processes at individual, family, group, organizational and community levels for specific problem areas through the investigation of various cases and the group exercises.
