AimThe aim of this course is to transfer the theoretical and practical aspects of cinema, which is a collective production area, to the student, and to teach all stages from pre-production to production, from post-production to screening, festival and marketing processes. In addition, how the cinema, which is directly related to technology in theory and method, is affected by current developments and ways to overcome problems are explained with examples.
Course ContentThis course contains; Getting acquainted and explaining the course content. Introduction to the history of cinema.,A brief history of art and, in connection with it, the history of cinema. The birth of cinema and the emergence of currents.,Individual and mass effects that are effective in determining the method in cinema.,Filmmaking processes. Pre-production, production and post-production phase.,Who is in the film crew? What do screenwriters, directors and producers do?,Differences between commercial cinema and independent cinema. What is director cinema?,Film reading,Midterm,Movie theaters and the distribution problem.,Application. Use of camera, light, sound.,The effect of digital technology on cinema. Presence, problems and opportunities of digital media.,Funding processes for the film. Support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema.
