AimThe aim of this course is to transfer the theoretical and practical aspects of documentary photography to the student and to create a documentary photography project. However, within the framework of the relationship between documentary photography and reality, the concept of ethics in documentary photography is within the scope of this course.

War photography. The role of Life magazine. Social document. Pioneers of documentary photography.,Qualifications of Documentary Photography and its photographer. Fundamentals of documentary photography aesthetics. Qualifying photography as a document: From Pictorialism to Evidence.,Reality and fiction in documentary photography. Manipulation and ethical discussions in documentary photography. The believability of documentary photography in the age of digital manipulation.,Aesthetics in documentary photography. Documentary photography and art.
