1. Will be able to explain the conceptual and theoretical aspects of the prohibition of discrimination.
1.1. Define the concepts of stereotype, prejudice and discrimination.
1.2. Explain the basis of discrimination.
1.3. Define the types of discrimination.
2. Will be able to analyse the prohibition of discrimination within the framework of the European Convention on Human Rights.
2.1. Evaluate the prohibition of discrimination within the framework of Article 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights and its application.
2.2. Distinguish the Protocol No. 12 to the European Convention on Human Rights providing for a general prohibition of discrimination and its application.
2.3. Discuss the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights against Turkey concerning the prohibition of discrimination.
3. Will be able to discuss anti-discrimination and equality issues under the European Union Law.
3.1. Define the European Union directives against discrimination.
3.2. Analyse the case-law of the European Court of Justice on the prohibition of discrimination.
3.3. Evaluate the responsibilities of Turkey on anti-discrimination issues.
