AimThe purpose of this course is to help students understanding major actors, institutions and their common and conflicting interests in the world stage. The course examines how state and non-state actors pursue wealth and power in the global context. Emphasizing fundamental economic concepts as well as the interplay between domestic and international politics the sub-discipline of the International Political Economy not only explains how the global economy works; it also encourages students to think critically about how economic policy is made in the context of globalization.
