Aim | Learning basic concepts about science and scientific methods, comprehending how to plan, conduct and report a research, dealing with the ethical laws in scientific researches; encouraging developing an identity as a researcher and providing experience about thesis written in their own field are the objectives of this course. |
Course Content | This course contains; Science and scientific method,Topics to be searched in scientific researches,Topics to be searched in scientific researches,Scientific Research,Scientific Research,Research Design,Research Design,Sampling Technics and Collection of Data,Paper and Pencil Based Tools of Data Collection,Writing, Publishing, Presenting of Scientific Studies and Ethics in Scientific Research,Thesis writing rules, how to write table of contents, how to use footnotes, how to add page numbers and how to write sources in MS Word Documents, how to receive permission from ethical committee of Social Sciences Institute of İstanbul Medipol University,Introducing the web page of İMU Library, how to demand a thesis from another university, how to provide sources from other libraries (Interlibrary Loan, Book/Photocopy Request Form), introducing Council of Higher Education National Thesis Center and ULAKBİM, using of "Mendeley" and "Scopus" programmes and using ResearchGate, using of Prezi programme, receiving for ORCID and ARBİS and introducing process of making application for TÜBİTAK project, how to upload a homework on "Turnitin" programme,Students’ presentation about the introduction of thesis or dissertation in their own fields,Students’ presentation about the introduction of thesis or dissertation in their own fields. |
