Aim | It is aimed to provide information about the content of medical law and medical ethics and to address medical issues within the framework of the relationship between these two concepts. |
Course Content | This course contains; 1. MEDICAL LAW AND HEALTH LAW Defining the concept of medical law and health law within the framework of national and international literature and establishing the relationship between them.,2. SOURCES OF MEDICAL LAW - Information about international and national sources of medical law will be given.,In addition to the legal regulations directly related to health law and medical law, information will be given on legal regulations that contain provisions that are important in terms of medical law or health law.,INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL ETHICS Information about the concepts of ethics, deontology, medical ethics, medical deontology, bioethics, ethical dilemma, ethical problem will be presented,The reasons why medical ethics is current will be presented in the context of historical reasons, developments in technology, developments in the rights of individuals.,In addition to the theoretical discussions on medical ethics, information will be given about the principles of nonmaleficence, beneficence, autonomy and justice in the context of principles theory.,Internationally important professional ethics documents and the importance and binding nature of these documents in terms of medical practice will be discussed.,Documents related to the practice of health professions, published by both professional organizations and relevant governmental agencies, will be systematically evaluated.,The basic topics of medical ethics will be systematized with ethical dilemmas and problems at the beginning of life, at the end of life and during the practice of medicine.,Ethical issues such as voluntary abortion, assisted reproductive techniques, euthanasia, discontinuation of life support, refusal of treatment at the end of life, organ and tissue transplantation, stem cell transplantation, human research, animal research will be summarized.,Information on therapeutic medical interventions, non-therapeutic medical interventions and human research will be presented systematically.,The elements of medical intervention, consent to medical intervention, legal responsibility of the physician, patient rights, organ and tissue transfer, voluntary abortion, miscarriage, gender reassignment, aesthetic interventions will be summarized.,The approach of the judiciary to the concepts related to medical law and ethics in sample judicial decisions with content related to medical ethics and law will be examined and evaluated.,CASE DISCUSSION-GENERAL EVALUATION. |
