Aim | Learning and implementation of basic concepts of patient rights and medical ethics is an important for medical and law practice. During the course, in the context of medical law and ethics, with explaining fundamental concepts, patient rights will explain in accordance with current international declarations and medical ethic. |
Course Content | This course contains; 1. Development of patients’ rights and current international bill of rights for patients,2. General evaluation of new medical practices and issues within the framework of the development of medical technology.,3. Addressing basic patient rights with contemporary approach, right of privacy, informed consent…,4. Informed consent in special medical treatments, clinical researches, children, patients without decision-making ability…,5. Legal, ethical, clinical and social dimensions about the beginning and the end of the life, concepts of person and personality, experiments on embryos, embryo freezing, gender selection…,6. Legal, ethical, clinical and social dimensions about the beginning and the end of the life, abortion, cloning, gene analyisis…,7. Current issues about the end of the life, death, determination of the moment of death, euthanasia…,8. Gene analysis, benefits and drawbacks,9. Legal and ethical issues that arising from the implemantation of assisted reproductive techniques, relevant approaches,10. New techniques of assisted reproduction and their legal aspect, heterologuos and homologuos artificial insemination, embryo transplant and legal issues, surrogacy,11.
