Aim

The aim of this program is to raise academic staff holding MSc degree in orthodontics, who are competent in both theoretical and practical fields of this speciality.

Registration and Admission Requirements

Having a Bachelor's degree obtained from a dental faculty; Having Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) score not less than 55 points to be determined by university senate (GRE score equivalent to ALES score can be accepted)

Graduation Requirements

Students who successfully complete the courses and seminars and prepare a thesis have the right to receive a diploma. Credit value of these activities is minimum 120 ECTS

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students may apply for exemption from the courses which were previously taken in another higher education or equally accredited institution. Exemption requests are decided by the governing board of institute, considering the opinion of the lecturer responsible for that course.

Program Qualification

Theoretical, Factual

Our graduates have extensive knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic disorders. They know the basic scientific questions. They have comprehensive knowledge related orthodontic literature and can follow the new developments.

Those who have successfully completed this PhD program can establish their own clinics and work in there as a private orthodontist; can work in public hospitals; can work as an insured physician in private practice, dental clinics or hospitals; can continue their postgraduate education at any university,

Assessment and Evaluation

Students have been evaluated by oral and/or written exam during the education year. In addition, practical and chair side clinical evaluations are carried out, and homework and projects are given to the students.
