AimThe aim of this course is to teach the methods of evaluation and analysis of health technologies, to enable the evaluation of health technologies in terms of clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness, reliability and acceptability, to gain the necessary skills to support the technology choices of policy makers, health professionals and managers in health services.
Course ContentThis course contains; Definition and importance of health technology assessment.,Types and examples of health technologies, basic steps of the evaluation process.,Design and analysis of clinical trials, evaluation of various methods for clinical efficacy assessment,Basic principles of cost-effectiveness analysis, evaluation of sample applications related to analysis,Technology acceptability factors and analysis,Evaluate the reliability and safety aspects, ethics and assurance of health technology.,Evaluating the ethics and assurance of health technology.,Examination of health technology assessment tools,Examination of sample health technology assessment models and data sources,Students do their own evaluation studies in groups,Students do their own evaluation studies in groups-II,Students do their own evaluation studies in groups-III,Analysing the role of health technology assessment in policy and decision-making processes,National and international health technology assessment studies, future health technology assessment trends and challenges.
