39 out of the 60 applications submitted by Medipol students to the TÜBİTAK 2209 A/B programs were entitled to receive support.
The second term results of 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program and 2209-B Industry Oriented Research Project Support Program for Undergraduate Students, carried out by TÜBİTAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programme Directorate (BİDEB) for the year 2023, have been announced. Istanbul Medipol University students achieved significant success with their projects for the 2209 A/B programs, as in previous periods. Regarding the 2209-A projects prepared by Medipol students, a total of 35 projects were accepted—13 from Health Sciences, 10 from Engineering and Natural Sciences, 3 from Education, 2 from Law, 1 each from Dentistry, Pharmacy, Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Management Sciences, Medicine, and International Medicine Schools. As for the 2209-B projects, a total of 4 projects—2 from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences and 2 from the School of Pharmacy—were entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK.

Stating that they submitted 60 applications for 2209-A and 2209-B in the second semester of 2023, Istanbul Medipol University President Ömer Ceran emphasized that they achieved a significant success rate by receiving 39 acceptances. Ceran, who announced that Medipol is among the top 5 foundation universities according to the data on the number of applications and acceptances announced by TÜBİTAK, said: “Our university has a research and student-oriented mission. It is a source of great satisfaction for us that our students actively participate in project studies during their undergraduate years and receive support from important institutions such as TÜBİTAK. In this regard, we will continue to provide all kinds of support to our students and academic staff. We strive to raise future leaders and scientists. I am proud of the achievements of our students and academicians, and I congratulate them and wish them success in their future endeavors.”
