Course Content | This course contains; Introduction, review of group counseling. Current and Historical Perspectives on the Field of Group Counseling and Psychotherapy ,An Introduction to Cognitive-Behavior Group Therapy with Youth. Therapeutic Relationship. Types of CBGT Groups. Goals and Treatment Plans. Interventions ,Challenging Group Members. Consideration of potential group members. Establishing specific, obtainable, and measurable goals. Assessing interactive patterns among group members. Diversity ,Setting the group agenda and establishing norms Ethical considerations Group strategies and interventions Group development: process and stages group dynamics and interactive patterns ,Developmental considerations for group therapy with youth. Affective and personality development. Models that integrate cognitive, affective, and behavioral influences.
