In this course, it is aimed that students develop an alternative counseling approach and gain knowledge about basic Spiritual Counseling issues on the axis of the topics given in the course schedule. Basic concepts and principles of spiritual counseling; spirituality, morality, counseling and psychotherapy; spiritual counseling in the context of multicultural counseling, universal values of religion and spirituality; faith, morality and identity development; religious (theological), philosophical, sociological and psychological foundations of spiritual counseling; helping relationships in monotheistic religions and eastern religions; mourning, emotional regulation, mindfulness, well-being, altruism, forgiveness, resilience, authenticity; spiritual measurement and so on. concepts; ethical issues in spiritual counseling are within the scope of this course.
