Appreciates the basic concepts of cellular changes, adaptation mechanisms, cellular injury and inflammation due to the damage. 2.1. Defines the reasons and mechanisms of cellular injury, cell death and necrosis, pathophysiological changes due to the cellular aging. 2.2. Explains the general features, morphological findings and systemic effects of inflammation. 2.3. Explains the mechanisms of normal cellular proliferation, basic concepts of stem cells, tissue regeneration and healing mechanisms. 2.4. Defines normal homeostasis and hemodynamic disturbances. 2.5. Describes the edema, hiperemia and congestion and gives examples for each. 2.6. Defines the mechanisms of homeostasis, trombosis, emboli, and their morphologic changes. 2.7. Comprehend the basic rules of infarct and shock. | ||
3. Appreciate the basic concepts of neoplasia and carcinogenesis. 3.1. Defines the nomenclature of the tumors, main fetaures of malignant ve benign tumors. 3.2.
