Assistant(s) | It is aimed for the intern student to learn the routine operation of the medical pathology laboratory and to use this knowledge during general medicine. Pathology technicians working in the laboratory and physicians during biopsy specimen sampling, macroscopic and microscopic evaluation are examples and assistants in this process. Have knowledge about macroscopy cabinet, laboratory equipment and equipment, microscopes Participates in one-to-one emergency procedure during intraoperative consultation (frozen sections shift) In this process, the first 2 days of secretarial, laboratory and macroscopy are taught by observing the steps from the acceptance of the biopsy specimen to the icroscope on the slide. Then, rotation with all physicians in the department to see the biopsies in all subsections, microscopic study Observing incoming frozen and macroscopic samples at this time Taking tissue sample from biopsy, forming a paraffin block, histopathological sectioning, simulation with staining, this product is given to the intern as a souvenier from the lab. Details of creation of pathology report, microscopic criteria To understand the expectations of the pathologist from the clinic and the limitations of the pathology At the end of the internship, a conversation-style oral exam, questioning what the pathology is doing Gathering information from physicians about the intern at the end of the internship Daily attendance and arrivals and departures are considered important during the internship. |
