AimThe aim of this course is to apply the basic microbiology knowledge gained during the first three years in medical practice. In this course, the diagnostic methods and their interpretation for the microbial agents seen in the commonly observed infectious diseases will be discussed in the sample cases. The students will determine the appropriate treatment for each case using the published guidelines. After reading what actually happened in the case, the choices made in the previous discussions will be evaluated. The critical points of the cases will be emphasized by solving multiple-choice questions.
