AimThe aim of this course is providing information about the design movements that form the industrial products, time period changes that influence the product design and the dynamics generating the transformations between 1850 - 1950. Also the course introduces the important designers, architects and artists who are the representatives of the design movements, changing together with the social, political, economical and technological developments.
Course ContentThis course contains; Arts and Crafts Movement ,Aesthetic Movement ,Art-nouveau ,Beaux-arts and Jugendstil ,Wiener Werkstatte ,Deutsche Werkbund ,Art Deco ,De Stijl ,Bauhaus ,Constructivism ,Surrealism and Rationalism ,Streamlining ,Postmodernism,Postmodernism.
