Aim	To give information about planning, preparation and fabrication steps of fixed partial prosthesis as well as to make students perform preclinical fixed prosthetic preparations on phantom patients.
Course Content	This course contains; Metal ceramic crown preparation,Principles of Preparation A,Principles of Preparation B,History Taking and Clinical Examination,Treatment Planning,Full Metal Crown Restoration.,Fluid Control and Tissue Management,Impression Taking,Interim Restorations,Wax pattern for metal ceramic crown substructure,Spruing, Investing and Casting,Metal try-in, Shade selection,Porcelain application,Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth A,Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth B,Principles of Bridge Design,Pontic design,All ceramic crown restoration,Fixed Partial Denture Configurations,Postoperative care,Inlays and Onlays,Implant supported fixed dental prothesis A,Implant supported fixed dental prosthesis B,Porcelain Laminate Veneers.

1. Discusses the concepts of fixed prosthodontics.
2. Classifies the types of fixed dental prosthesis.
3. Explains principles of tooth preparation.
4. Discusses the treatment planning related to fixed dental prostheses.
5. Explains crown materials and their indications.
6. Discusses impression procedure in fixed prosthodontics.
7. Explains indications and fabrication of temporary restorations.
8. Explains the laboratory fabrication steps of a metal ceramic crown.
9. Plans restoration of endodontically treated teeth.
10. Explains principles of bridgework design.
11. Makes fixed prosthodontic treatment planning for various partial edentulism scenarios.
13. On phantom patients, using artificial teeth, performs tooth preparation, takes impression and delivers temporary crown using direct technique.
