At the end of this course the student should be able to;
Debate anatomical and morphological features of teeth.
Define the general dental morphological issues.
Explain the part, structures and contents of teeth.
Distinguish the anterior and posterior teeth between themselves.
Interpret the function of anterior and posterior teeth in the masticatory system.
Compare the morphological features of anterior and posterior teeth.
Distinguish the dental formula, numbering concept and numbering systems.
Distinguish the different numbering system.
Summarize the dental arch ad dentition concepts.
Illustrates the differences between permanent and deciduous dentitions.
Translate the permanent and deciduous dentition patterns and times of eruption.
Apply the basic dental manipulative skills.
Recognize the dental laboratory materials.
Use the dental laboratory materials. Simulate the models of permanent teeth in proper dimensions by using dental wax and similar laboratory materials
Debate the mechanism of human masticatory system. Define the temporamandibular joint
Explain the parts, structures and function of the temporamandibular joint.
Summarize the mandibular movement, axis and plane of mandibular movement.
Debate physiological considerations for stabilization of dental arches.
Define the embrasures and explain the fuction of labial, palatinal, incisal, gingival embrasures.
