Course ContentThis course contains; Introduction to organic chemistry, C-C bonding,Acidity-Basicity,Functional groups-Nomenclature of organic compounds,Alkanes and radicalic reactions,Alkenes,Elimination and addition reactions,Alkynes ,Alkyl halides and nucleophilic substitution reactions,Aromatic structure and aromatic substitution reactions,Alcohols and phenols,Amines,Carbonyl compounds, aldehydes and ketones,Nucleophylic addition to carbonyl groups,Carboxylic acids and their derivatives and their reactions,Amino acids and proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids : DNA and RNA.
