AimThe aim of this course is to comprehension of the tooth development and the the factors affecting the tooth development, and to determine the childhood caries and to apply the ways of the caries prevention.
Course ContentThis course contains; 1. Eruption theories,2. Defects observed during tooth eruption,3. Factors affecting dental development,4. The role of vitamins and hormones in the dental development,5. The histologic structure of deciduous teeth,6. Dental caries in children,7. Early childhood caries,8. Plaque control in individual prophylaxis,9. The role of diet in individual prophylaxis,10. The importence of protecting the oral and dental health in children,11. Child nutrition and effects on dental caries,12. Systemic and local fluoride applications,13. Fissure sealents,14. Fissure sealents (application),15. Shape, form, number and tissue anomalies.
