AimIn this course, it is aimed to analyze the structuring of the basic institutions in Turkey in the early republican period, 1920-1946, and the formation of political culture in the same period. The course analyses the legislative, executive, judicial and local government bodies in the period 1920-1946 and evaluates the meanings attributed to these institutions. The main features of Turkey's political culture in the period between the First World War and the Second World War are examined and concepts such as nation, state, democracy, division of labour, loyalty, work, military service, election, taxation and the duties of the state towards the citizen are discussed.
