AimPsychology is the science of the phenomena and conditions of mental life. Following W.James' definition of psychology, we can define Psychopathology as "the discipline that studies the pathologized-denormalized phenomena of mental life". There are two basic approaches to researching and understanding psychopathological phenomena in psychiatry and clinical psychology: Descriptive approach and Explanatory approach(es). The discipline of psychopathology is essentially built on a descriptive approach. Because unless the descriptive basis of psychopathological phenomena (subjective experience(s)) is revealed clearly enough, efforts to explain these phenomena will be largely speculative. Descriptive psychopathology is largely nourished by the phenomenological tradition of thought. Phenomenology aims to suspend the presuppositions and presuppositions regarding the phenomenon (epoche), allowing the phenomenon to reveal itself as what it is, and to describe what is revealed. In this course, training will be given on how to handle and describe different phenomena in the psychopathology spectrum with a phenomenological approach. This discussion and description will be done both at the cross-sectional level and at the process level.

1- They learn how to understand psychopathological phenomena with a descriptive, phenomenological approach. 2- They learn the classification principles of the described psychopathological phenomena. 3- They learn the basic clinical features of classified psychopathological phenomena. 4-In addition to these three basic acquisitions, students taking the course are also expected to gain an awareness of the phenomenological foundations of the therapeutic relationship. Although it is not the primary purpose of the course, this awareness is extremely important in clinician training. Because empathy, which is the basic carrier of the therapeutic relationship, can only be realized with a phenomenological approach and attitude. If one thinks sufficiently about the above-mentioned basis of phenomenology, the function of phenomenology in establishing empathy will be understood 10, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 4, 9A, D, E
