Aim
Dentistry is the science that studies the composition of substances used in different procedures in dentistry and their relationship with the environment in which they are placed. The basic information obtained about materials through this branch of science will guide the selection of materials for specific applications. To teach the content, properties, areas of use, and principles of materials used in prosthetic dental treatment.
1. Recognizes the general properties of matter.
2. Explain the general properties, usage methods and application areas of dental plaster.
3. Explain the casting methods used in dentistry and relate them to dental alloys.
4. List the denture base materials and explain their areas of use.
5. Explains the general properties, usage methods and application areas of dental waxes.
6. List denture acrylics and explain their usage areas.
