At the end of this lecture, the student will;
1. Be able to explain the common concepts about technology, innovation, and management of them:
1.1. Define technology, technological innovation, innovation, innovation management, invention, and the relation between inventions, science, innovation, technology.
1.2. Explain the recent progress and the changing role of the innovation management in business.
1.3. Describe the innovation types, innovation creation frameworks, and procedures.
2. Be able to describe the creative thinking methods
2.1. Explain the brain storming, lateral thinking, morphological analysis, La Sella matrices, and TRIZ.
2.2. Apply at least one of those methods.
3. Be able to explain how to protect intellectual property rights, the national patent regulations and procedures
3.1. Distinguish the basic terminologies such as copy right, trade mark, patent, utility model, industrial design, and geographical sign.
3.2. Explain the procedures of registering intellectual rights.
4. Be able to describe the national and international research funds and propose a basic research study.
4.1. Define ARDEB, BİDEB and industrial grants
4.2. Define EU funds
4.3. Apply the preparation of a scientific research proposal
