Ayşenur Halil’s name will live on in Hatay: 1B1N has surpassed 10,000 saplings
The “1 Ticket 1 Breath Donation Concert” implemented by Istanbul Medipol University students as a strong reflection of their vision of social contribution, has transformed the name of Ayşenur Halil into a memorial forest to take root in Hatay. With broad participation, the organization brought together solidarity, environmental awareness, and hope on campus, while collecting donations exceeding 10,000 saplings.

Organized by Istanbul Medipol University students and realized as a compelling embodiment of a social contribution ethos, the “1 Ticket 1 Breath Donation Concert” was successfully completed with significant participation. Held at the Kavacık South Campus, the event collected more than 10,000 sapling donations for a memorial forest to be established in Hatay in the name of Ayşenur Halil, a second-year student in the Media and Visual Arts Department of the School of Communication at Istanbul Medipol University, who was killed in Eyüpsultan two years ago.

Conducted in line with a student-centered approach to social contribution, the organization brought together environmental awareness, a culture of solidarity, and social consciousness within a unified framework. Instead of a conventional ticketing system, participants gained entry through sapling donations, thereby supporting a meaningful initiative while making a lasting contribution to nature.

A MEMORIAL FOREST WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN HATAY IN THE NAME OF AYŞENUR HALİL
The collected donations will be utilized, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Forestry Foundation (OGEM-VAK), to establish a memorial forest in Hatay, one of the regions affected by the February 6 earthquakes. In this way, Ayşenur Halil’s name will continue to live on through thousands of growing saplings. Supported by Beykoz Municipality, the School of Communication at Istanbul Medipol University, the Social Contribution Commission, and the Office for Students with Disabilities, the project bringing together environmental benefit and social sensitivity also stands out for its potential to provide long-term support to the earthquake-affected region.

MUSIC AND SOLIDARITY MET ON CAMPUS
The program, which ran between 12:00 and 22:30, began with an energetic DJ performance. It was followed by stage performances from university student groups Tiran, Poplin, Göktuğ Karadağ, and Devr-i Devran, who took the stage with different musical genres and created unforgettable moments for participants. The event also brought together students with Sercan Şahin Kurtulmuş and Ozan Bozkurt, known as “Hikayeden Adamlar.”

At the end of the day, the popular music group Pera took the stage and met with the audience that filled the concert area. Throughout the event, which witnessed strong participation, an atmosphere of solidarity and unity prevailed across the campus.
ÖA STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT BY STUDENTS
The coordination of the project was carried out by Şüheda Nur Demirkapı from the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports, while the organization was implemented by members of the Medipolifonik Student Club Kerim Yiğit Yıldırım, Erdem Kaplan, Yiğit Göktuğhan Karadağ, Dila Gürsucu, Eren Özyiğit, Tuna Cengiz, Tuğçe Tunca, and Muhammed Tuğra Arslan.
