Dr. Akman received an award from the ‘Crescents and Stars for Packaging Competition’
Istanbul Medipol University School of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture faculty member Dr. Seher Oya Akman was deemed worthy of the bronze award in the ‘Crescents and Stars for Packaging Competition’ with the Elvish brand honey bottle she designed.

Dr. Seher Oya Akman, a faculty member of Istanbul Medipol University School of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture, won a bronze award with her design at the ‘Crescents and Stars for Packaging Competition’, organized by the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) for the 11th time this year. Doğan Levi, a Board Member of ASD, presented the award to Dr. Akman. Speaking about the award, Dr. Akman said: “Precious Elvish Honey is also available on the American market with its pinecone-stylized bottle and box that reflects the characteristics of its region. The geometric reflections in the form emphasize the value of honey. The design, narrowing towards the cap, ensures the fluidity of the honey, and after the stopper is opened, the process continues with its crown-shaped cap, which symbolizes sublimity. Recommended to be consumed only one drop per day, Elvish Honey is offered in a single dropper with a wooden spoon and poured from the tip of the spoon. There is also a booklet in the pocket of the inside cover of the box that tells the story of Elvish Honey.” Dr. Akman, who has received many national and international awards in her long-standing design career, was recently awarded the “2024 Gold Intellectual Property Awareness Award” by the “Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (Global WIIN)”.
