Two medals for Medipol at TEKNOFEST 2026
Istanbul Medipol University won two medals at TEKNOFEST 2026 Şanlıurfa for its inventions in the fields of communication and healthcare technologies. At TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26 11th International Invention Fair “A Relay Method for LoRa Networks” was awarded a silver medal, while “Multiple Perfusion Cannula System Suitable for Use in Aortic Surgery” received a bronze medal. The medals, presented by President of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office Prof. Muhammed Zeki Durak, were received on behalf of the inventors by Istanbul Medipol University Technology Transfer Office General Manager Dr. Selim Serkan Say, Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Team Leader İrem Koçak, and Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Specialist Ayşe Sena Kılınç.

The award ceremony of TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26 11th International Invention Fair, organised as part of TEKNOFEST 2026 Şanlıurfa under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, was held. Since 2016, the fair has brought together inventions from different countries around the world, with successful works being awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. Two inventions developed by Istanbul Medipol University in the fields of communication and healthcare technologies were also among the works that received medals.
TWO INVENTIONS RANGING FROM COMMUNICATION TO SURGERY RECEIVE AWARDS
“A Relay Method for LoRa Networks” developed by Prof. Hüseyin Arslan, Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Abdelali Arous, and Hamza Haif, was awarded a silver medal. The invention introduces a new relay method for wireless communication in LoRa networks.
“Multiple Perfusion Cannula System Suitable for Use in Aortic Surgery” developed by Prof. Yahya Yıldız, Prof. Murat Uğurlucan, Prof. Halil Türkoğlu, Prof. Korhan Erkanlı, Aydın Kahraman, and Alper Savaş, received a bronze medal. Developed in the field of healthcare technologies, the system offers a medical technology solution for use in aortic surgery.
TTO TEAM RECEIVES THE MEDALS ON BEHALF OF THE INVENTORS
