Assoc. Prof. Mefharet Veziroğlu Çelik, a faculty member of the School of Education, said: “Toys that are likely to trigger children’s feelings of anger and aggression should be avoided.”

Istanbul Medipol University School of Education faculty member Assoc. Prof. Mefharet Veziroğlu Çelik, in her statement to Anadolu Agency correspondent, said that toys make a significant contribution to children’s learning process. Noting that the widespread use of violent products among children may cause aggressive behavior, she continued as follows: “Toys containing violent elements may cause children to display aggressive behavior, become individuals prone to violence, and turn to criminal activities in the future. Therefore, care should be taken to ensure that such products are not kept within easy reach of children. The problem of violent games and toys is not just a child’s, family’s or school’s problem. The widespread use of these products may lead to the normalization of violence in society from an early age and endanger the safety of children.”
