Program Educational Objectives
PEO-1. Demonstrates current theoretical and applied knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to fulfill the duties, authorities, and responsibilities of the Child Development profession in the most competent and independent manner, prioritizing social benefit.
PEO-2. Plans, implements, and monitors practices in the fields of evaluating child development, preparing and implementing developmental support studies, identifying factors affecting child development, reducing risk factors, and supporting protective factors with an evidence-based, individual-centered, and holistic approach on the basis of human rights and ethical principles without discrimination.
PEO-3. Takes part in public awareness, education, research, and legal processes regarding child development and the support of child development, working in an interdisciplinary manner.
PEO-4. Maintains personal, professional, academic learning, and career development with a lifelong quality awareness.

Program Outcomes
PO-1. Possesses the fundamental and updated theoretical and practical knowledge required in the field of child development, using necessary educational tools and resources.
PO-2. Possesses the knowledge to evaluate and interpret the accuracy, reliability, and validity of the knowledge acquired regarding child development comparatively.
PO-3. Possesses knowledge of children's developmental, learning characteristics, and difficulties.
PO-4. Interprets and evaluates evidence-based data, analyzes developmental problems using advanced knowledge and skills covering physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, and sensory development areas in the field of child development, and engages in teamwork by developing solution proposals for typically and atypically developing children while observing ethical values.
PO-5. Demonstrates the skill to developmentally evaluate typical and atypical children through different methods and tools, prepare support programs, provide family counseling, and inform the public in line with the theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of child development.
PO-6. Possesses the skills to produce different solution paths with an evidence-based approach to problem situations concerning typical and atypical children in the field of child development.
PO-7. Takes responsibility and fulfills duties effectively in transdisciplinary studies in the field of child development.
